David Groh, the actor who played Rhoda Morgenstern's husband Joe on the sitcom "Rhoda," has died of kidney cancer. He was 68. Groh left the series after the TV divorce then went on to appear in dozens of TV shows, films and appeared on Broadway, over the next 30 years.

'Crow' actress arrested on shoplifting suspicion
Bai Ling, who plays on "The Crow" was arrested for shoplifting two magazines and two packets of batteries, items that had valued at $16. The actress was detained by an employee who called police. She was booked for shoplifting and released on a promise to appear in court on March 5.

Canadian folk singer Willie P. Bennett died from natural causes in Peterborough, Ont.The revered singer-songwriter was an integral part of this country's folk music scene. The band Blackie and The Rodeo Kings did a tribute album to him. The band itself was named after one of Bennett's songs.

Roy Scheider, best known for his role as a police chief in the blockbuster movie "Jaws," has died. He was 75. One of Scheider's most famous lines in the movie, "You're gonna need a bigger boat" was voted No. 35 on the American Film Institute's list of best quotes from U.S. movies.

Sick Kravitz admitted to hospital
Rock star Lenny Kravitz has been admitted to a hospital in Miami with severe bronchitis and has been suffering from a series of respiratory infections and flu since last month. A statement said he was checked into hospital "due to extreme dehydration and fatigue".

Ritter lawsuit goes to trial
A lawyer for John Ritter's family told a jury that doctors caused the actor's death by an improper diagnosis and substandard treatment. Ritter died of a tear in the aorta, known as an aortic dissection but was mistakenly treated for a heart attack. They are suing two doctors for $67 million.

Kiss lead singer sent to hospital
