March break is one of the busiest travel times of the year at Toronto’s Pearson Airport and to make your travel time as pleasant as possible, the folks at Pearson are putting together a number of fun performances and art pieces in various terminals starting March 10.

Some sad news has come across the Blue Rodeo desk as news of two dear friends passing reached us. Legendary Red Wing/Blackhawk bruiser Bob Probert died July 5 near Windsor, ON. Probert was a member of the NHL Greats pitting him against Jim Cuddy and his Rockers in several Juno Cups. As well, Probert joined Blue Rodeo and several fellow NHL stars in Afghanistan in 2008 when the Stanley Cup toured the Kandahar Air Base. Bob Probert was 45. Read More

More than 50 Canadian musicians lend their voices to single.

A constellation of more than 50 Canadian stars - including Jim Cuddy - gathered in Vancouver’s The Warehouse Studio last month to record a song in aid of the victims of the Haiti earthquake. Spearheaded by legendary music producer Bob Ezrin and three-time 2010 Juno Award
nominee K’naan under the banner Young Artists for Haiti, the song and video – a brand new rendition of K’naan’s "Wavin’ Flag" - will be available for sale wherever music is sold digitally as of Friday, March 12 at 12:01am ET. All proceeds from the sale of the single will go to Free The Children, War Child Canada and World Vision Canada in support of their on-the-ground efforts in Haiti.

It has been announced that Blue Rodeo will take part in Whistler Live!, a free concert presented by the Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad. The performance is schedule for February 28, 2010, in the Whistler Village Square.
