The dates in question are: September 23 at Kingston's KROQ Centre, September 24 at the John Labatt Centre in London, ON and September 25 at Sault St. Marie's Steelback Centre. Blue Rodeo have booked their annual late August dates at Toronto's Molson Amphitheatre and Vancouver's Malkin Bowl and BlueRodeo.com is giving you the first chance to get tickets to these shows, when our presales being this Friday, May 16. The August 21 show in Toronto will go on sale at 11 am EDT. The presale for the August 23 and August 24 shows in Vancouver will follow at 9 am PDT. These are best seats sales, so make note of those times and make sure you're here on time on Friday morning.

Blue Rodeo went three for three at the 2008 Juno Awards this past Sunday, taking home the hardware for Group of the Year (for a record-setting fifth time), Adult Alternative Album of the Year (for Small Miracles) and Video of the Year (for "C'Mon"). Congrats to the band!

Southern Ontario just can't get enough: due to the extremely high demand, Blue Rodeo have added third nights to their stands in both Belleville and Peterborough. The new Peterborough show is set for May 7, with the new Belleville date scheduled for the following night, May 8. After wrapping up a successful trip to Austin's SXSW music festival, the members of Blue Rodeo headed to some place very different - Kandahar, Afghanistan. Canada's media has taken quite an interest in the band's trip to entertain our troops. Articles about their adventure to Afghanistan have appeared on CTV.ca, in the Ottawa Sun and by Canadian Press, among other sources. Also along for the trip were chief of defence staff Gen. Rick Hillier, several former NHL players and the Stanley Cup itself.
Blue Rodeo did bring their cameras with them and we're hoping they took some great shots that we'll be able to share with all of you.

The band just keeps rolling: Blue Rodeo have just announced a series of West Coast dates for May of this year. Kicking off in Bellingham, WA on May 15, this tour will see the band make stops in a number of cities they haven't seen in a while. Check out the tour page to see where they're going.

It's a big day for Ontario: Blue Rodeo have just confirmed four new shows in the coming months. First up, hot on the heels of their sold-out April 15 gig at Belleville's Empire Theatre, they've added a second show on April 14. The BlueRodeo.com presale begins tomorrow morning at 10:00 am EST. Next up, on April 16 the band will stop in Brockville, followed by Sudbury on April 18 and Peterborough on May 5. The sales for all three of these shows kick off Monday morning, February 25, at 11:00 am EST, so make sure you're logged in and ready to go at that time!

At a press conference this morning, it was announced that Blue Rodeo have been nominated for three Juno Awards, including Group of the Year. The band was also received nods in the Adult Alternative Album of the Year for Small Miracles and Video of the Year for their Christopher Mills directed clip for "C'Mon". Other nominees include One Degree artists The Sadies (Roots and Traditional Album of the Year: Group), Justin Rutledge, Oh Susanna! (both Roots and Traditional Album of the Years: Solo) and Richard Underhill (Instrumental Album of the Year). Congrats to all! The Juno Awards will be presented on Sunday April 6 in a ceremony to be broadcast nationally on CTV. Check your local listing for airtimes and make sure you tune in to root for the band!

Tonight, Friday, February 1, CBC Radio 2's Canada Live will broadcast Blue Rodeo's January 7 show at Edmonton's Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. Beginning at 8 pm with Luke Docuet and the White Falcon's opening set, the entire show will be broadcast nationally. You can also stream the show directly from the CBC Radio 2 website.

One of Toronto's finest rock institutions, the legendary Horseshoe Tavern, is celebrating its 60th anniversary this month, with a series of blockbuster shows. One of countless bands that got their start at the Horseshoe, Blue Rodeo will return to the club's stage next Monday, Decemeber 17 for special celebratory show. Billed as an "80s throwback show," this is sure to be the event of the season.
Tickets go on sale next Monday at 1 pm, only at the venue, with all proceeds from the show will go to the St. Philips Food Bank. Rockin' for a good cause? Don't miss out.

We can finally tell you where Blue Rodeo's 2008 Small Miracles tour will be stopping. On Thursday, June 7, Toronto's Lee's Palace saw some of Canada's finest musical talent gather together to play at the NXNE music festival's BBC Radio 2 showcase. Performers included Jim Bryson, Kathleen Edwards and of course Blue Rodeo. If you wanted to be there but couldn't be, be sure to listen to this week's edition of BBC Radio 2's Bob Harris show as it will be airing highlights from this amazing showcase. Blue Rodeo has been added to the BBC Radio 2 Showcase this Thursday, June 7 at Lee's Palace in Toronto. The band's set will be recorded for broadcast on the BBC's Bob Harris Saturday Show.

Congratulations Blue Rodeo! On May 22, the band will receive a fellowship for lasting contribution to the arts from Toronto's Royal Conservatory of Music. The band will receive this award at a special gala where they will perform before other Conservatory members. Tickets for all shows will go on sale through Ticketmaster at 10am local time on Friday, April 20 with the exception of Calgary and Ottawa. Those two shows will go on sale on Saturday, April 21 at 10am local time through Ticketmaster.

Blue Rodeo's schedule keeps getting busier and busier. On May 18, they'll be returning to Bala, ON to perform at the Kee. This show has a great reputation and if you want to check it out, you can grab your tickets here. Then on June 24 the guys will be in Montreal to perform at Bourbon Street North as part of CHOM's Budweiser Summer Concert Series. On Friday night, Jim picked up the award Adult Alternative Album of the Year, beating such tough competition as Neil Young and Ron Sexsmith.
Sadly, Jim's Juno hockey team the Rockers weren't so lucky. On Saturday they lost the Juno Cup to the NHL Greats by a score of 11-9. To chat about the Juno Cup, head over here. To chat about Jim's Juno win, check out this thread.
