    New Years Eve once again

Well the time is fast approaching once again. The Sadies will be doing their regular show at the Shoe and the John Borra Band will be at the Cadillac lounge. So what is everyone planning for new years eve?

Blue Rodeo in Calgary for this kid and I can't wait. I am not a huge New Year's Eve fan but this year will be awesome. Wink What will the Schwas be doing?

Greg Keelor met Jim Cuddy and then I met you people. Serendipity is a marvellous thing.

I would love to see that Sadies show in Toronto on New Year's if they keep doing it. I haven't seen the Sadies in sooooo long, and I miss them.

But my New Year's plans involve BR in Calgary with the Seattle 7 crew... oh and apparently I am doing a "house concert" on the 30th for the visiting members of the "7" group. Wink Hahahahaha

I think I want to stay home this year! My hubby and I are seriously discussing just popping a bottle of sparkling apple juice in front of the TV. My, I'm a very old 26 year old - but that sounds like so much to me!

wooooooowwwwww, I have not even thought that far ahead. If I can get through the next two days alive (organic chem and planetary science exam devil) I will be a very happy camper!

It's alright now.....people get through this somehow....

    Hi all,

I'm one of the lucky ones going to see Blue Rodeo on NYE. Beats trying to watch them on TV with that annoying comedian. Almost missed Auld Lang Syne by BR last NYE.

Actually Calgary seems to the place to party NYE. Aside from BR, Patricia Conroy, Aaron Pritchett and Doc Walker are playing separate parties. Local country station is having fun advertising and giving away tics to most of them. I even think Tom Cochrane is in town NYE for a big party as well.

Hope everyone has a great holiday season and a great 2004!

    Hi Kara,

"House concert"? Can a non-member of the Seattle 7 come? I can't party too much as I have to work the 31st but I would like to meet some of the people from the board that are going to see BR. Already Gone has emailed me about wanting to meet prior to the gala. So, do you have space for one more? AG has my email address if you want to let me know off-board.

If not, see you downtown on NYE for Blue Rodeo.

Re: New Years Eve once again

You guys in Calgary are awfully lucky. And everyone else who is going out to celebrate - Enjoy!

Sara, my hubby and I stayed in together one New Year (for the millenium) and it was awesome. We're staying in this year and having my best friend and her husband over and having some fancy finger foods all night long.
Let's not consider ourselves old yet...how about "relaxed."

Re: New Years Eve once again

Not sure if I want to go out or not this year, but if I do it'll probably be either the Sadies or John Borra Band. I'm one of those that thinks NYE is highly over-rated!!

New Years Eve with the Sadies! I got tickets for my hubby as a surprise Christmas present. I just hope all of our friends and family (about 20 of us are going to the show) can keep it a secret from him until Christmas day! We both just love them and saw several shows this year. Can't wait for New Years Eve!!

Oh yeah, New Years! Big Grin Hmmm...haven't really decided what I'll be up to that night...probably the same thing I've done the last couple New Years, which is to say, relaxing at home in front of the t.v. and a bottle or two in front of me. tude Just a good ol'relaxing New Years at home!

Re: New Years Eve once again

Well, having done both (and to top any "relaxing" posted so far, having even gone to bed before midnight and awakened at a reasonable time New Year's Day, neither hung over nor exhausted Wink ), I am looking forward to a night on the town as a repatriated Torontonian. Last year, we watched and taped BR while packing, which was perfect. But this year . . . PARTY TIME!!!! rounder rounder rounder rounder rounder rounder rounder rounder
