I've been talking about (& listening to) Brock Zeman since we saw him at the Owen Sound Summerfolk Festivel this year, so I thought I'd post his latest newsletter   : G'day folks.
We've been having a good time with the release of "Welcome Home Ivy
Jane" on Busted Flat Records. Just did a radio interview for "Out
Of This World" on Radio Adelaide 101.5 in Australia. Couldn't
understand a word of it, but it was pretty cool.
I'm going on tour for a week and a bit with Dan Walsh (formerly of
Fred Eaglesmith's band). Really looking forward to it. So if you
folks know of anyone in the area's we're playing please let them
know. We need all the help we can get.
In other news: I recorded a whack of new tunes @ Dan's place in Port
Dover during our last tour together and it turns out that Busted Flat
is going to release the recording in the new year! So look for
that.

Sammy, is there really a bar named Alex P. Keaton's? I guess the martini's are shaken not stirred. I'll have to check out this guys website. Hopefully he has some songs to listen to.

Yep, Ray, we were going to go see Brock at Keaton's Sunday night, but thru the generosity of wonderful friends we wrangled an invite to the Sarnia House Concert, cutting 45 minutes off of our drive one-way. We will definitely be looking at booking Brock for our own House Concert this spring or summer! www.brockzeman.com There are lots of clips on his website. Thank Heavens I have all of his CDs since they are too slow to open on dial-up. I'll be buying his new cd on Friday! Can't wait. I wake up with the song Riding the Rims in my head most mornings. One of my very favourites is Sweet Charlotte, but I don't think you can hear that one on his site. Danny's Song is a beautiful tribute to a friend who died. Brian, you are so lucky to live close enough to see Brock so often. I wish we could attend that New Years Eve Concert!

Great idea, Lori! Then you'll be hooked & you won't think twice about travelling to our place to attend our House Concert!!!! You could probably hitch a ride with Brock (or he could hitch one with you & Dan!)
