    I just thought I'd drop back in after a 16 month absense.Confused

No fireworks viewing planned this weekend unless I completely blow the gift giving for my wife's birthday.Wink

Whoops too slow - yes we have lots of birds nesting in our yard including 15 chickens.

    No, I don't.

DTPBM know the story behind Cabinboy's login name?

Love and understanding are the best answers I've heard yet.

Re: Does the person below me...

I do!! But I cheated...quickly searched for the old username thread:

Love the stories folks. Mine comes from my favorite BR listening space. There's this cabin up on the St.Lawrence that I like to go to with my family and we just kick back with some cold beer in front of a woodstove while listening to some BR and watch the ice flow by or sit still depending on how cold it is! In the summer I should be TENT BOY. Big Grin
DTPBM think I should get me butt back outside & finish moving mulch?

    Yes!  Hard labour builds character.

DTPBM agree with the above statement [SEG] ?  Where's my favourite cowgirl when I need her the most Stick out tongue?

Re: Does the person below me...

Yes I agree 100% Hard work will enforce a never quit attitude towards life. That's some crack research Sammie! I'll fill in some of the gaps I've created over the past 16 months...the short answer is I became an endorphin junkie and have been running around like Forest Gump and as a result been frequenting running related discussion groups as I have attempted to turn this rapidly aproaching middle-aged body into a running machine. I have succeeded fairly well in that regard as my updated avatar is of me near the finish line of the '08 Boston Marathon. I will say that BR has never left my system - they are still frequent players on my mp3 and have accompanied for quite a few miles. That may be more than you wanted to know? Last night as I was listening to BR while doing the mind-numbing task of mowing my lawn I said to self...I need to get myself to a BR concert soon and I wonder how the forum is doing? So here I am again! DTPBM have a recent BR concert story they would like to share?

Not sure about building character...but it builds muscles!! I just moved two cartfuls & came in for a cold drink! Honest! [SEG]

Chaps is climbing aboard an Iron Horse about now, I think. Wink

Ooops, sorry, Cabinboy, we were posting at the same time. I'll delete my question & let yours stand. Big Smile

Re: Does the person below me...

Recent BR concert story: I can't top February 14, 2008, in Ottawa, where Greg told off a loud drunk guy who was yelling all the time. Copy-pasted from the review thread:

There were some drunken louts yelling things (you know, "YEAH KEELOR!!!", stuff like that) during songs like "Know Where You Go"/"Tell Me Your Dream" and "Dark Angel", prompting Greg to tell this anecdote:

He had gone to see Neil Young at Massey Hall, and there was this guy sitting beside him (Greg) who kept yelling out "NEIL!!!!" during really quiet bits. Greg wondered what was going through Neil's mind when he heard that. "And now I know!" Greg said. "He was thinking, 'What a f*cking A-S-Shole!'" Ha ha! Hooray for Greg! Big Smile

It was a treat to be in the front row for that little gem, let me tell you. Wink

DTPBM like to record stuff on the computer? Sooooo much fun, especially when you're sleep-deprived and just saying whatever pops into your head. Stick out tongue

Re: Does the person below me...

I don't have too many DVDs...the boyfriend alleges I have too many books -- which of course is impossible.

And by "record" stuff, I meant like making a podcast or recording songs. My brother and I were playing around with Garage Band, a Mac program that lets you make podcasts. It was basically us sitting around insulting each other, playing a few songs that we imported from iTunes, and commenting on those songs.

    DTPBM like cinnamon buns?

DTPBM have too many socks???? I went throug mine today and decided that nobody should have that many pairs of socks.....

Re: Does the person below me...

We are racing fans here at our house. Ever since Tim took me to the first Indy race in Toronto I was hooked. Formula One is kind of boring and I don't really want to get up that early on a Sunday morning to watch it......I don't enjoy the NAS Cars all that much, too many cars that crash into one another. I am not as big a fan as I once was though. We were at the race in Toronto the year that a young driver (Jeff Krosnoff) and a track worker/volunteer(Gary Arven) were killed in a bad crash. It was always horrible when there is a crash and someone is hurt or worse, being there when it happened has just left me with a sad and empty feeling.........I still know the names of the two men. I guess it effected me more than I realized, cause it's still makes me tear up. This was well over 10 years ago.......Tim still loves it and is up early for every F1 race on Sundays!!

    DTPBM enjoy fireworks??

Re: Does the person below me...

I enjoy fireworks more than I did when I was younger, although I still jump like mad whenever they go off. I'm VERY jumpy.

And boyfriend dearest is an F1 nut as well. I prefer to sleep in, or at least fall asleep on the couch while he watches the races.

DTPBM give people handmade birthday cards?

Re: Does the person below me...

No...I have something against cards...I guess because they gather up and you hate to throw them out because of the sentiment behind them. Plus I'm not very crafty, unless the mood strikes me.

DTPBM wonder how something can have honey it and be calorie free?
