Oh Nancy that SUCKS! I hope you get extra great seats for the second show. Big Grin

Greg Keelor met Jim Cuddy and then I met you people. Serendipity is a marvellous thing.

Hi Hazy, actually those seats are for the 2nd show, for the first show I ordered pre-sale so they still remain unknown. You know what? 12th row is better than no row! Wink

    Re: Ticket Pre-sales

It's becoming clear how complicated the process of selling tickets can be. So many parties involived: BR website, promoter, venue.

Re. the Sanderson Centre in particular,
this will be the 6th year I'm seeing BR there. In the past, I bought tickets from the venue, called right away when they opened yet was never closer than 17th row. Several years, I've sat in the same row. I always found that a bit strange. I'm very happy this year to buy tickets through the BR website and know that wherever my seats turn out to be, I will have the best seats I've ever had at that venue for BR.
Also, anyone who has tickets for the Sanderson show but has never been there before and may be a bit worried after reading this thread...don't be, you're in for a beautiful experience. It's a terrific venue, asthetically beautiful with excellent accoustics - no matter where you sit.

I appreciate very much the pre-sales the website offers, just wanted to make a suggestion for future sales.

I agree with you 100% Steve, that's why I never purchased tickets from this website until I became an active member. Sure I read the discussion board but that's not being a member. Everyone gets to take part in the pre-sale but the members of the community should have first crack at it. It makes much more sense. Look at how the Stones did their presales. The members got first and best crack at the tickets. That's what it should be like here.

I don't know but I sure as heck am gonna try to keep on this. Just thinking of you guys for Stratford alone. I haven't gone to that venue and don't know if I will be able to cause it's hockey time but that alone is frustrating knowing that you're up against your fellow members as well as the public. We really have to convince everyone that the pre-sale should be for members of the board first, at least for the first hour then they can make them available to the rest of the website visitors.

    Re: Ticket Pre-sales

Yeah, but the Stones charge big bucks just to be a part of their pre-sale - I'm certainly glad BR haven't gone that route!

    Re: Ticket Pre-sales

I don't mean to say that they should charge to be a member, just that members of the board should have first crack at all the pre-sale tickets, even if it's just for an hour or so. Just to give them a little privilege or like a fringe benefit. Smile Something to make us feel abit different from the public.

    Re: Ticket Pre-sales

Well the Stones prices and their fee for being able to get presales is totally ridiculous as well.

    Re: Ticket Pre-sales

Well, I'm trying very hard not to stress about the Brantford pre-sale on Thursday, since it is actually a post-sale, starting a day after the tickets go on sale at the venue.
Hopefully, there are not dozens of lurkers out there waiting to scoop these. I've had a bit of computer trouble lately, so if by bad luck I miss the post-sale, the seat choices left at the venue will not be great.
There I go stressing! Roll Eyes
Nevermind, I'm sure it will all work out just fine....yup, just fine. Wink laugh

    Re: Ticket Pre-sales

I guess the way I see it, is that just because you aren't a "member" doesn't mean you aren't a big fan. Lots of people have limited access to the internet and therefore, may not have time to post a lot. I don't think they should be "punished" for that. For instance, if you only have 1 computer at home, but you have 3 kids, how much time do you think the parents get on the computer?!! That is, assuming the parents are the ones wanting the tickets!

    Re: Ticket Pre-sales

I do agree with you Donna. We're not the chosen few here just because we signed up.
At the same time, I still get a funny twinge when someone finally logs on for the first time to tell us that they got front row tickets & then we never here from them again.
Just that old green-eyed monster rearing her ugly head, I guess. Big Grin

    Re: Ticket Pre-sales

I know that there are tons of fans out there but I just think it's a nice gesture for the active members to have first choice as it be. I know because I was one of them.

DebP, you see, if it was first pre-sale tickets to the board members for just an hour or even 1/2 hour, then you would have less stress.

Sure maybe computer times may have to be worked out but I'm sure that if it's the kids that are on it or vica versa, then they would understand the situation. It's just that I keep thinking back to Stratford and that many of our board members didn't get a chance to go because the tickets were sold out.

Don't want to ruffle any feathers here, just giving you my honest opinion on how I think it would be better for the community. It just seems that it is somehow unjustified that fans who are taking the time to connect with the whole BR thing are not getting first dibs. Is it just me here? Sorry if it is Frown Like I said, I'm just a whisper in the wind if anyone wants to listen Smile

    Re: Ticket Pre-sales

Well if the "members" were given first dibs, there wouldn't be tickets left for anyone else, unless it was a larger venue. Sometimes the tickets are gone in as little as 2-3 minutes! And I know that unfortunately there isn't a way that will make everyone happy.

I definitely see where you're coming from Deb - I feel the same way! Smile It's that jealousy coming over me (oops wrong band!)

I guess you guys are right, just thinking out loud I guess. Want to make sure everyone gets a fair shake at the tickets Smile
