Dizzy who loves guitars!  While I like the Unintended I realize that my musical tastes need not be everyone else's.  I still believe he'd be blown away by Travis and Dallas of The Sadies if he saw them live.  Their musicianship is dazzling.

I have seen enough of the Sadies to REALLY want to make me head out and catch one of their shows.  The snippits I have seen of them so far lead me to believe I would LOVE them live!  I really do want to see one of their shows.

I found that I had to go see the Sadies live in orde to be able to fully appreciate their music. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you go to one of their shows. Smile

We own a copy of the Unintended's CD, but it's really not our taste.  I think we've only listened to it once or twice.  If anyone would like our copy, we'd be happy to give it a new home where it will be appreciated.  We could use the extra space on our CD rack. Smile

    Re: The Unintended

I've heard and enjoyed the CD, but I saw them live a few years back in London, ON, and it was awful. The set was poorly paced, the playing was messy and overly "jammy" and it generally felt like they hadn't actually practiced the tunes much. Greg's not much of a drummer either.

I like to listen to this CD while driving in the car. It's just what I need sometimes....a musical distraction that falls short of a listening obsession. That said, I rarely get through the entire CD. Then again you are talking to a man who owned the Tragicall Hips "Fully Completely and the Cowboy Junkies "Lay it Down" for YEARS (almost ten each) before I fell in love with them. You never know when a CD it gonna click for you IMHO.
    Where my designer B*tches at?

    MAGNETS....COWS....HERD....it all makes sense now?

There's nothing worse than driving in a snowstorm with a GPS that's on the rag

    Do you take PAYPAL?

Truer words never spoken.  A late 'Hip' bloomer here myself but I fell in love with Cowboy Junkies the moment I first saw the Anniversary Song video years and years ago - pretty hard to forget Margo in that one!

    Re: The Unintended

I'm a huge Unintended fan. I saw them last year at the Casbah (Hamilton, ON). If you did like them (though it doesn't seem to be the going opinion) you may want to check out Rick White's solo album which is similarly atmospheric. It seems like you would have to enjoy White's earlier works with Eric's Trip and Elevator to really pick up and enjoy the album - it is very different from Blue Rodeo and even Greg's solo work. http://www.myspace.com/rickwhitealbum
