I thought that was the sound of the Leafs fans crying!!

Oh, and it's not IF the Sens go to the finals... It's WHEN they go to the finals!

I don't think I've seen a playoff thread so quiet in all my years on the board!

                             LET'S GO SENS!!!!

I am in Savannah, Georgia right now.  Last night Dad & I went to an Irish Pub for dinner.  Much to my surprise they had the game on one of the tvs.   Awesome news that the Sens won.  I am cheering for them!  Yes

3 - 0 series lead????  I am shocked.  I can not imagine what the Sabres fans must be thinking after such a dominant regular season.

Anybody give the Sabres a chance of avoiding a sweep??

    Re: Almost time for Playoffs!

Well this doesn't look very good...down 2-0 and going back to Ottawa on life support. where did my team go?? How did they get shut out in a game where they needed to bring everything they had?

I think they might as well forfeit the Cup for one simple reason: going into the 3rd period of game 2,the Senators had been outshot 26-11 but it was stillscoreless. if they couldn't come out all fired up and desperate to take advantage of Emery's fantastic goaltending, then how are they ever going to feel motivated? once the game moves back home, the crowd should at least get our guys moving a little, but they really haven't shown up at all so far and I feel completely let down.

I guess I don't feel as bad as the two guys in Sens jerseys right behind the Ottawa bench. I wonder how much they paid a scalper down there for their tickets....

it's kind of funny that when Buffalo won 1 game to stay alive in the last series, DOn Cherry said Ottawa were shaking in their boots, Buffalo had nothing to lose, they had found their game, etc etc. But now that we're down 2-0, Don is saying "no worries, everybody calm down, they're thinking we got beaten in their building, now we'll beat them in ours." what is that guy on? hehe....

The thing about Burke getting his name on the cup is that I don't think it would have happened if he had stayed in Vancouver.  After so long, everything was still status quo, and the team wasn't good enough in the first place to be status quo.

The other sad thing is that I was actually in Anaheim the day they won the cup, and I couldn't even tell.  Only one hour after the game, I was walking down a main road, and I had to turn on the tv to find out the result.  I know that Vancouver goes crazy after playoff wins, and it's pretty sombre if they don't win.  I honestly couldn't tell while walking the streets of Anaheim.

I find it so sad that certain cities are so passionate about their teams, yet here's a city with a great team and nobody knows it.
