Re: What's the Most Embarrassing that Ever Happened to You at a B.R. Concert?
lol lol Okay, that maybe is a little embarassing! jk, Alreadygone! Yes, I've heard some amazing stories here on the 'boards ... 'you' BR fans are a pretty wild bunch!!! But hey ... "I love your crazy heart" I just wonder, when Jim saw you ... did you have a pretty little pink moustache???? lol! It seems like nobody's been as eloquent, touching and charming as Bluegirl, tho', (altho' I'm still smarting from the empathy-pain I feel for Allison and that wrestling match with the chair); how much nicer for the guys to look down and see a friend moved to tears by the music? As opposed to completely disappearing (through the back of the chair!)? lol! ... at least I didn't look like I pee-d myself, tho' sorefingers!!!!! lol! j.k.!!!

Re: What's the Most Embarrassing that Ever Happened to You at a B.R. Concert?
Well, here's one I've kept to myself all these years, and I'll keep the names anonymous to protect the guilty. The boys were at a small club, and I, wearing an illegal smile, wanted to turn one of the band onto same illegal smile, but not quite sure when the opportunity would arise. Whilst in the john before the show, there was another band member on the throne of a stall without a door on it. So I decided what the heck, and started to ask said band member if he would pass this illegal smile on. Before I was able to get 3 words out, he blasted me good and loud for invading his privacy, which I totally understood. But just the same, I was totally embarassed and shell-shocked. After the show, I approached him and apologized and he was totally cool and friendly and said if he knew that's what I was doing he would have gladly accepted, but he thought I was going to try and get an autograph or something. LOL

I spewed my water reading your story Joe. Thanks for the laugh & I'm glad you were able to clear things up with the unamed band member.

Re: What's the Most Embarrassing that Ever Happened to You at a B.R. Concert?
Hmm...would it be when I talked to Jim before the show at the Middle East in Cambridge (when Luke Doucet replaced Greg) and I can't remember what I said but I'm still embarrassed over four years later? Or my first show when I knew the words to nothing and sang loudly and wrong?

Re: What's the Most Embarrassing that Ever Happened to You at a B.R. Concert?
hmm... this only mildly embarrassing because I know that Greg has
already forgotten about it but I accidently called him Jim last night
after the show. oops. I walked up to him and said "Great show tonight
Jim..er, Greg! Damn!" Then I handed him a CD to sign. He flipped it
open after and I had the liner notes to Jim's CD in there. He did a
joking "Ugh!" and handed them back after signing Small Miracles. "lol
I'm not going to be allowed back here any more am I?" :p

Re: What's the Most Embarrassing that Ever Happened to You at a B.R. Concert?
Well I'd have to say it was my first time meeting Jim and my S/O had locked us out of our vehicle.I was pretty upset with him about it until I managed to waggle my way back stage......I go up to say "hi" to Jim after Bob E encouraged me and Jim holds out his hand for me to shake.....what do I do?Oh, baffled and blushing as I was...I declined saying my hands were cold and sweaty (eww, I mean they were, I was a nervous wreck but to tell Jim that)!! Oh I should mention, Jim being the kind gentleman that he is....he shook my hand anyway:)

Re: What's the Most Embarrassing that Ever Happened to You at a B.R. Concert?
Well I would say, the first time I met Jim at the Stratford ovation after his set. I went over to the autograph line-up all excited to get "All In Time" signed. (I've never heard Jims Solo before that day, I feel ashamed that I didnt know his solo! lol but I knew all Blue Rodeo songs) Well, when I went up with my Mum he said "Hi, how are ya?" I shook his hand and all the words I could get out were "Not bad" ! I completely froze up when I saw him. (Who can blame me? I think hes been one of the biggest impressions on my life so far! lol). Anyways my Mum had to talk to him so I didnt look like a complete idiot! oh well! I think I took care of looking like an idion none the less! lol

Re: What's the Most Embarrassing that Ever Happened to You at a B.R. Concert?
This happened to me backstage in Oshawa close to 4 years ago... I was wearing the backstage pass (a big rectangular sticky) underneath my left shoulder clavicle. (If you don't know where that is or what I'm getting at, look in a mirror.) Unaware of James Grey's reputation, I approached him and talked to him about seeing him in other bands besides BR in Toronto's Kensingon Market. He asked me if I had brought anything to sign and I hadn't, and before I could stop him, he had his Sharpie out and was signing my backstage pass. As if that wasn't enough of a shocker, when I got a couple of minutes with Greg he signed underneath James' signature. Moral of the story: be careful where you place those backstages passes on your person.
