OMG!!! So is it official!?! I'm crushed with you Torri :( many sad faces here. Maybe you'll be able to come back out in the spring, maybe? While it's great for Jim to be opening for Sheryl Crow, I agree with you, this was definitely a dream show, one not to mess with....

Thanks Sammy.  I am very sad but working on perspective & remembering that some people have real problems.

Jen I don't know if it is official but the venue shows the date as March 6th.  The original date is between a Saskatoon & Calgary date on the Crow tour so I feel quite confident it is not happening.  I was so looking forward to meeting you.  I doubt a spring trip is in the cards but I guess you never know.

The ironic part of all of this is that Jim & Greg were just the icing on the cake for this one.  It was Kevin Parent I was so excited to see.  If Jim wants to go play with Sheryl Crow why can't he just can go & send the others to Montreal.Big Smile

Re: Jim Cuddy and Kevin Parent...

Jen and Torri, I'm so sorry that the show that you were looking forward to so much has been postponed Sad.  I will try and call the venue tomorrow.  Jen, will you be able to make it to Montreal in March? Gosh, that sounds so far away... I know it doesn't really make sense for Torri to come all the way from Vancouver for a show!  Who knows? Maybe the guys will play a few more dates together across Canada and you will get to see them in Vancouver.

Now Torri, we will find something else fun to do when you're in Montreal on September 30th, don't you worry.

    Tori,

Have you checked Kevin's website to see if he'll be playing anyother venues while you're in town?

I did see on the BR events list that the band is playing in Ottawa on July 1 and Kevin is playing there too.  I'm hoping people will be taping/recording/filming this show to at least put on youtube for all of us who don't live around there.  Sounds like quite an event.

I'm bumming a bit now because we had front row seats for the Sept. show.  Now the best seats I can get are row F.

Re: Jim Cuddy and Kevin Parent...

Maybe Blue Rodeo block-booked the 5 first rows? Maybe Kevin's management did? You should go to his site and subscribe to his fan/newsletter if he has one so, if there are pre-sales there or here, you'll be covered. Just a thought.

I too checked for ONE ticket and F was the nearest. That's unusual.

That is what I am hoping will happen but so far there is nothing listed.  I'm not giving up yet.

Maybe this will make you feel better, Torri (that's the only good thing about it though) - I just received a call from the venue and the March 6th show has now been cancelled due to a schedule conflict. Sad

That doesn't make me feel better, in fact it makes me feel worse. Sad  It was bad enough that I was going to miss out but now that it is cancelled lots of people will be disappointed.  I am really sorry for all of you guys.

Re: Jim Cuddy and Kevin Parent...

That's too bad they had to cancel the show, especially after seeing them perform together on Canada Day. I guess it's not easy managing BR's and Kevin's schedules to make a concert such as this happen.  They also need to fit in some rehearsal time. Well, maybe one day... one can always hope. Smile
