Congrats to Jim on winning his Juno last night....Best Adult Contempary Album...too bad had to read about it in the paper & not get to see it tonight as part of the telecast.....oh well. Maybe there will be a big upset & he'll beat Nelly for single of the year. The critics seem to think she has it 'nailed'...whatever!

I so hope he wins for single of the year!! I don't know which song Nelly is nominated for, but none of her stuff can even compare to Jim's. If she wins, I will be very disappointed. 

CONGRATS JIM & the JIM CUDDY BAND!!!   It is an awesome CD, wonderful piece of work & the win is well deserved!!   What a bummer it wasn't televised though, as a fan I would have loved to share the moment.

Well there's another thread in regards to the same topic and I posted there but I'll post here as well.

Congrats to Jim and the JCB for a well deserved win. Too bad that this portion wasn't televised Looking forward to seeing him win tonight though

Is anyone else watching the Juno's? It doesn't even look like Jim will be performing on the show. His name wasn't included in the opening credits. I watched for about a 1/2 hour and that was enough for me. Sorry, but Nelly Furtado, K-O and Billy Talent just don't do it for me. I won't post anything else because of the time change. I don't want to to spoil it for anyone out West.

I watched, but didn't think he would be performing tonight.  I did see him sitting in the stands though enjoying a refreshing beverage 

It would have been nice to see some of the Friday night awards given.  There were some major awards last night that should have been part of the televised version IMO.  Soon the Juno awards won't even be an award show, it will be a strickly performance and dumb hostess skit show.

 

Yeah, I saw Jim in the stands too!  I was at the awards show...and it would have been nice to actually watch him accept his award!   It was good to see how happy Jim, Ron Sexsmith and Colin James were for Tomi Swick when he won - that was sweet.   He was very deserving too.....

I'm glad Jim won.  I wasn't impressed with the award show either.  I saw Ben Mulroney on TV today saying people want it to be less awards and more concert so that's where they're heading.  I think they should include some of the previous night awards and back to basic music.  Enough glitz and corny skits.

I also am adding my congratulations on paper.  I talked to you, Jim, at the Junos, when you were carrying 2 beers back to your seat.  I told you at the time that we were waiting for Blue Rodeo to come back to Saskatoon.  I really wish that I could have gone to the Songwriter's Circle, but I had won 2 tickets to the Red Carpet, and was told to be there by 12:30 that day.  I was a little disappointed in the Red Carpet because I didn't have a great viewpoint.  I was unable to take good pictures, and no one stopped by for autographs.  I really wish that the Songwriter's Circle would be re-broadcast, and also the Red Carpet.  I also wanted to add that I was hoping for you for the Single of the Year.  Work on something for next year.  Hopefully we'll see you back in Saskatoon soon!
