    Heath Leger Dead at 28

Here's the story, but wow....I'm shocked and terribly saddened.

It's especially rattling because he was so young -- just 28. Sad

That is so sad.  I really enjoyed his work.  He was terrific in Brokeback Mountain.  I don't know what else to say.  It was the last thing I expected to read about.

The tragedy of life doesn't lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach.

Greg Keelor met Jim Cuddy and then I met you people. Serendipity is a marvellous thing.

Re: Heath Ledger Dead at 28

Someone told me about an article from last November, where Ledger was saying that after filming his role of The Joker for the new Batman movie, he was having trouble sleeping... he said something along the lines that his body was exhausted, but his mind could not stoip working.

I'm guessing he was using sleeping pills to help him get to sleep... and lack of sleep makes you do crazy things, like maybe thinking that taking a few more will help him get to sleep faster or that the regular dose was just not working anymore...

    Sad really.

I think they did say that there were pills found by his body so he must have been trying to get some of that much needed rest that makes our bodies functions properly.  Poor poor guy, so talented, so young, so sad

I had a feeling he would be as big as Nicholson, and now we're not going to get to see that. It's just so sad. I can't imagine how you explain to a two year old she's not going to see her daddy anymore. Sad

It's alright now.....people get through this somehow....

That's all people were talking about at the office this morning, especially the girls - everyone was so shocked and saddened.   I can't say that I'm familiar with his work but it's always sad when someone so young dies unexpectedly, much like what happened to the young athletes in Bathurst about two weeks ago. Sad May they all rest in peace.

Very sad and unexpected.  I just felt so bad that someone so young, so talented, and with a young child, has died far too soon.
I carry with me the memory of a field I once knew, of a night so full of stars that I was left humbled by it's endless beauty. I know that whatever the cost, life is worth living. So bring it on...I can take it.

This is very sad indeed. What a waist of a very young life, and a talented one at that!

My sympathies to his family and friends!
