    Greetings!

    Hi everyone!

I'm a fairly recent fan of Blue Rodeo, and am seeing them live for the first time this Friday in Barrie.

I've met Greg a few times. The first time was years ago when I was in grade 8. Greg came to my middle school as a favour of one of the teachers to talk to the music students and play a few songs.

He also came into the grocery store where I worked in High School a few times. He seems like a really cool guy, and I 'm really looking forward to seeing him again in concert.

Is anyone else seeing them this Friday?

    Hello Lauren!

Welcome to the boards. I unfortunately won't be attending this Friday - I have to wait 'till Feb. 14th to see the guys. Please come back and tell us all about your experience so we can all live vicariously through you until our turn comes, okay?

In the meantime you can tell us about yourself. Where are you from and are you then a musician? :o)

Welcome to the board Lauren.Big Smile

Enjoy the show and let us know how you enjoyed itSmile

Pretty neat how your teacher got Greg of all people to come to your school and play a song. That's a super treat if you'd ask meYes   Not to mention being a cashier and having Greg show up to cash him out. When I was a cashier during my high school days, nobody interesting EVER came through my cash Sad

Welcome to the board Laurel.  Have a great time at the show on Friday & be sure to come back and tell us about the show.  Pretty neat having Greg come to your school & your grocery store.  Enjoy the show & enjoy the board.

Greg Keelor met Jim Cuddy and then I met you people. Serendipity is a marvellous thing.

    Re: Greetings!

Thanks everyone! The show was awesome, I posted my review and some very bad pictures in the Barrie thread in "Show Reviews"

I'm from a small town called Bowmanville, it's about an hour east of Toronto. I wouldn't call myself a musician, though I did play in the school band in middle school and high school. I also play a bit of guitar, but I haven't picked one up in ages. After seeing the show on Friday I would love to learn some Blue Rodeo songs, but I have a bad habit of learning the first verse of songs and then getting bored. Tongue Tied

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here, not to mention getting to know more of Blue Rodeo's music.

    Cheers!
