I take it you're not enjoying Aphrodite Rose?Music

Well, I can't really say.  I've heard the initial sound bytes and some of the promo stuff.  And what I have heard has definitely prevented me from buying it.

I think it's worth your time to at least borrow a copy to listen to all the way through. Who knows maybe you won't like it although that's really hard for me to imagine just because I like it so much.  Big Smile

Greg Keelor met Jim Cuddy and then I met you people. Serendipity is a marvellous thing.

So, fair to say I'm the only one that thinks Greg should stick to making music with Jim??

    Heresy.Surprise

Dizzy, you should at least try the chocolate cake before saying you don't like it. Smile  I love it.

As a Cuddyan, i have to say this is the best we've seen of Greg. I can't even begin to tell you how much i enjoy this new album! It must be something to do with the more brighter tunes.

Check it out Dizzy, there's gotta be at least a couple tracks that stay with you!

It's alright now.....people get through this somehow....

Re: Greg's New CD Now on Sale

I got the CD last Friday and have listened to it about five times since buying it.  I like it a lot.  I cant compare it to Keelor's other solo work as I havent heard any of it but I think this stuff is great.  I was impressed to see that he did most of it himself.

I liked how a lot of the songs really didnt have a break in between them.  It seemed like about 4 songs where really like one.

Re: Greg's New CD Now on Sale - A Late Post

     A late post . . .

    I'm a Cuddyian . . . or what ever you call us . . .

I got the Aphrodile Rose CD when they came to Cleveland a few months back . . . I think I am now a Keelorite . . . this is one of my favorite CD's of all time

"If you Go" - what a brilliant song, shades of Bob Dylan
"Steal Your Mind" - Some of the best guitar work recorded
"Prisioner" - Love the bluesy side of Greg

In my humble opinion if they took the best of "Aphrodile Rose" and "The Light That Guides You Home" you'd have the greatest Blue Rodeo release EVERY, one of the best CD's of ALL TIME

(yes, even better than <gulp> "Five Days"  It's like having 3 groups in ONE

I love this cd too BFTizzy.  It is my favourite cd of any of the solo efforts.  I have listened to it so much I can't believe I'm not sick of it but I'm not.  In fact I think I like it more as time goes on.  I hope you that happens for you too.
