We were just talking about that movie with Hayley Mills last week! I love those old movies, & you know what movie has been in my mind a lot lately, although I'm not sure why,...Walking Tall! Remember that one? Sherriff Buford Pusser?

I realize I'm off topic, but can anyone blame me? Stick out tongue

I love those old movies too!! I remember crying my eyes out at the end of Trouble With Angels, I love a sad movie for a good cry. I wonder if Greg ever cries at the end of movies.......... Crying Into Tissue

Good save there, Cathy! Brought this baby right back around to Greg! Wink

LOL You  guys are hilarious! :D

I've had a most amusing read of this thread. The title actually called out to me 'cause I have like a Greg pant memory from my first Blue Rodeo concert. Greg was wearing light-coloured jeans and the stage lights made them change colours. I have like this mental picture. I especially remember them when they turned yellow, don't ask me why. It isn't my favourite colour or anything... ;)

Anyway, just thought I'd share... and I can't believe how long this thread has been around. *is impressed* :p

So........I was at the local Video Plus Books and CD's and DVD's buying a new copy of Gregs CD, I can't find my original.........So, I wandered over to the old movies looking for the movies we were talking about earlier Sammy, no luck but I did find and buy the old version and the new one of The Parent Trap! I just thought that I can't imagine Greg watching these movies as a young'en...........pants or shorts....nope, I just can't see it!!!!!

Re: Your favorite of Greg's pants

Thanks for the friendly welcome! I'll be sure to come pack and read you guys, you are certainly an entertaining bunch. Don't know if I will contributre much. I think I'm a bit of a prude. :p

I don't know what it is about that memory that stayed with me all these years. I guess it's just that Greg is so tall (and must have seemed even taller when I was an even shorter sixth grader!) and so those pants were quite the contrast to the darkness on stage, esp. when the only light was the spot on Greg.

    Laters!

Re: Your favorite of Greg's pants

I have a new favorite pair of Greg pants now! Yep, the ones he was wearing as he sang "Dark Angel" on Sat. in Kitchener. Love the shirt too.......pretty much a favorite moment in my life. Maybe the clothes I had on should now be my favorites.......much can be said for those good old, well worn, faded just right jeans. Nothing special about the pants, just the man in the pants.

Re: Your favorite of Greg's pants

After my first Blue Rodeo concert, I hid my sweatshirt so my mom wouldn't wash it. It smelled like the concert. (Well, okay, it smelled like the smoke from the bar!) I wore it to school the next day and kept on sniffing it. lol

In an effort to stay on topic (and what a fun topic it is!) I must say that my fave of Greg's pants must be the light jeans he wore at that first concert way back when. I can still remember how the lights played off them and turned them different colours. I especially remember the yellow. (Why not the blue?... beats me...)

P.S. Carrington I am SOOO glad you revived this thread. Fun read all-round! :p

       The Perfect View!

(Very, very sorry, Greg!  You know I really do have the utmost respect for you.  Really.)

My biggest fear; that I will actually meet Greg one day, and while I am standing there someone will tell him that I am the 'Pants thread' woman, and then he will say something to me that will definitely not be 'Happy motoring!'  Embarrassed

I carry with me the memory of a field I once knew, of a night so full of stars that I was left humbled by it's endless beauty. I know that whatever the cost, life is worth living. So bring it on...I can take it.

From all that's said, it's unlikely that Greg will ever own a computer. You're probably safe.

Besides, from the looks of things, there's lots of people to share the blame.

Lips Ha! Your secret is safe with us.........besides Carol, I'm pretty sure that he has a pretty sense of humour. I'm sure that he'd enjoy just knowing that he can still set hearts a fluttering just by wearing his pants!!!!!

    Nice pics LoriYes

I'm sure that someone has mentioned something to Greg by now even if he doesn't have time to get onto a computer.  I've heard his sense of humour and I think he would probably get a kick out of it, but not sure how everyone else would view it----like Kate, so maybe we should all apologize to Kate. But I think she has a sense of humour as well. I know that this is all in fun and I'm sure she would see it that way as well.

I always have a chuckle at this threadBig Smile
