    Re: Paid Fan Club!

Is there an existing thread that deals with the problems encountered during the most recent pre-sale?  I've bought presale tickets in the past and had amazing seats without any stress.

As far as a paid fan-club goes, I feel there has to be some added value other than a presale code, especially if the pre-sale is handled by TM.

Pearl Jam does it right: all paid fan club members can buy tickets through the 10 Club system.  Presumably the tickets bought this way are pulled BEFORE the general onsale as part of the band's arrangement with the local promoters.  And, people with seniority in the club get the best seats.  Seems fair to me.

U2 used to have a GREAT system when they had their own people running the club (known as Propaganda at the time).  Before tickets were made available, all members received a mailing (on PAPER!) and tickets for up to two shows could be ordered.  Since the fan club's move to FanFire the ticketing process has been a disaster.  I am still a member of the club but it sure ain't what it used to be...

    Thanks for reading.
