lee ann, it is indeed hard to bear the loss of those close to us, and especially so at this time of the year when people get together to share treasured memories. Hold dear the knowledge that she knew she was loved. She made the journey from this world secure in the hearts of her family and friends.

I would like to add to the group hug. I have neighbors on both sides that I have known for over 25 years and it would break my heart too.

I'm just thinking of Sara's news...one of my neighbors who came to visit this past couple days who lost her husband not long ago...said to me yesterday "when Bruno died, Abigal (her granddaughter) came along 2 months later, when one leaves another takes their place..."
It seemed to comfort her when she thought of that.

When we were at the church for that part of the funeral service Helinka's great niece came in with her two month old son Caleb. As corny as this sounds I thought of Elton's song Circle of Life. I guess its not all that corny because like most of us here on the board music is a big comfort too. But I had to smile seeing that little guy.

Nah, not corny at all, lee ann...in fact, I thought it sounded quite touching. Keep smiling, k?
