GDW glad to hear that you will be coming Big Grin

So far its Me, Hazy, FDB, Laurel and hubby, Cheeky and Kara and family, Pants, BR Kat, and I'm not sure who else. Its going to be an awesome time I am sure of it.

The lady at the Telus Conv. Ctr. told me she wasn't sure how many tickets would be available but she figures in the 4000 range. The tickets go onsale saturday through ticketmaster and the first 1000 are $75 after that they are $87 so buy quick.

I booked 2 rooms at the Marriott this morning I am not sure if we are full in our rooms yet or not still waiting on SOME people to committ. It was the best deal I could find for NYE $144 including all taxes.

Vishal, thanks for the information. Some of us don't have access to the board from our places of employment. What shall we do?

Laurel I think the best we can hope for is that there is info when we wake up because it will be three hours later in Ontario.

Re: Blue Rodeo bring in the New Year in Calgary

Well thanks a lot Coolblue. You blew my cover. I was playing internet hide and seek! Gave my friend clues and where I hang out and she had to find me. Rowandowns was too obvious since she knows my dreams. She's bound to see your post....oh well it was fun for the time it lasted. Hey guys, don't think I tried to pull one on you. I was just playing a game with a friend. If you read the post under girl w/guitar, there's nothing deceiving for anyone.
By the way, I'm not pissed off at you at all, CB, or should I call you Sherlock Wink. I was sure the game would run its course without anybody noticing anything. About the guitar playing, I still practice every day, but obviously i'm no musician materiel. I like it though! I'm going back to be Rowandowns soon. I got nothing to hide and I'm sorry if some felt deceived. It was not in my intents.

Re: Blue Rodeo bring in the New Year in Calgary

Looks like I better not get too excited about this. I think I'll have to work New Year's Eve. There's a lot going on here and I was told there'll probably be an event I'll have to cover. So I'm not getting a ticket just yet -- hopefully it doesn't sell out too quickly!

GDW, I am sorry to hear you won't make it to the event. It really sucks when life gets in the way of all the fun.

Looks like the first 1,00 tickets for this event are sold on Ticketmaster. I checked the TM site and the price is $87.50 plus charges.

Re: Blue Rodeo bring in the New Year in Calgary

    Hi everyone.

Well it's offical. Got my ticket from Ticketmaster this morning. Even got it at the $75.00 price which surprised me. Had to make sure it was for the Blue Rodeo Gala not the other gala at the Telus Centre. Noticed that it's now $87.50. Guess getting the Ticketmaster at 9:30 AM worked.

I can't wait, my second time to see Blue Rodeo. Last year, I was buying all their CDs as a Christmas present to myself. This year, it's seeing them in person again in 6 months. The Folk Fest was my early birthday present and the gala is my late Christmas present. What a year.

I look forward to seeing you all there. Maybe once it gets closer, we'll have to tell what we're wearing. That way we can party together. laugh
