Re: Blue Rodeo bring in the New Year in Calgary

I'm can't wait for NYE to get here. Almost wishing Christmas would come quicker so NYE will get here faster.

Been switching my iTunes from Top-Rated Songs to strictly Blue Rodeo for the last week to get myself in the mood (as if I need help getting in the mood to see BR)

I look forward to meeting the people from the board there.

    Til then,

    Happy Holidays everyone.

I can't wait for Wednesday either. Now if I can get rid of this nasty Christmas present, I'll be even happier. Managed to pick up a really bad cold over Christmas. I'm hitting it with the heavy duty stuff in the hopes of getting rid of it prior to NYE. To all coming, have a safe trip to Calgary and I'll be seeing you all NYE (hopefully without the head cold).

Hey Rodeo Kat, try those Vit C tablets that fizz, one in the morning and one at night. I had a cold coming on the last few days and I started taking those and I feel great!!

Re: Blue Rodeo bring in the New Year in Calgary

Just remember Kara - you can sleep when you're dead! Wink You can't let us older folks out party you.

Growing up in Nelson I was used to snow and cold weather but after close to 20 years in Vancouver I have become an official weather wimp. Needless to say New Year's in Calgary does have some chilly connotations but this morning I woke up to a winter wonderland in Vancouver. exclaim That means leaving about five times as much time to do anything. This town is pathetic and frankly quite humourous when it snows. Life stops! I will make sure to take extra time to get to the airport tonight - I am not going to miss that flight because tonight I get to hear Kara perform. rounder

Re: Blue Rodeo bring in the New Year in Calgary

Well I know what I'm wearing. I bought new clothes for the event. I'm wearing black dress pants with a white sweater to go with the Black and White gala theme. Even got new dress boots for the show as well. Calgary still doesn't have snow (only skiffs the last couple of days) so I hope to be able to wear them downtown tomorrow.

I might be noticable as the one with the cold (I really hope not). I'm going to throw everything I can to get rid of it for tomorrow (got Vitamin C, fruit juices and chicken soup along with herbal and reg. cold remedies). I'm also taking tomorrow off from work. I was supposed to work it but with this cold, I decided that I may need that time to get rested up for BR. See you all tomorrow.
