Just checkin' in....
Wow...... everyone who was coming in on a flight yesterday was late, but it made for a fun day. Karen was about 30 minutes late, so once she came in, we headed straight downtown to scope out the venue and take pictures and shop.
Torri and Just Cuz.... hahahahahaha we had to come back twice to the airport because they ran out of de-icing fluid in Vancouver, and the flight that was supposed to come in at 9:35, didn't come in until 12:30 this morning. Karen and I greeted them at the airport wearing blue boas, and Blue Rodeo shirts. Our "special coffee" in our travel mugs made us very confident so we didn't care that everyone at calgary International was staring at us. Hahahaha
I did my little show at about 2AM, and it was okay.... not even close to the best I can play, but I was starting to wear down...
Torri and I ended up staying up until 7AM watching a couple of Blue Rodeo concerts on tape, and singing really loudly....
The next thing I know, Karen is bounding down the stairs this morning screaming:
"It's Blue Rodeo day today!" So... totalling up the amount of sleep I have received in the last two nights..... about 7 and 1/2. Not bad at all....
A trip to Starbucks was in dire need this morning, and as I type this Laurel is probably going to descend into Cow Town, and the rest of the entourage are downtown at the hotel.... now, I'm off to get ready, and then head down there myself.
