    Re: Internet Fantasy Football

I'd say the Steelers might have a good chance even though it'll be played in Indy. I hope/think the Patriots can pull off the AFC East and then a whole new season begins. It would be quite a chapter in the Pats/Colts rivalry if the Pats were to go into Indy and win in the playoffs. A colunmist on the ESPN site summed it up best about the Colts in that they got the regular season monkey off there backs, now the playoff monkey is looming.

Congrats Mark, Joe and BIB on your teams locking up playoff spots already! I'm only a mere 3 points out of the last spot but there's lots of time left!

    Thanks Geoff.

I hope you make your way into the playoffs, but I hope I don't have to face your potentially explosive Patriot laced lineup in the first round of the playoffs.

See if you can put those pesky little blue birds in their place this weekend, would ya.

    Re: Internet Fantasy Football

I'm hoping to capture some the magic the Pleasant St Patriots had in the baseball league. I started off strong ( winning 8 weeks in a row) then struggled for the rest of the year but came alive when it mattered the most, the playoffs!!!

The 200 point week has arrived. Very impressive, man. Try and take it easy on the rest of us, please!

So can we all call Mark the Indy Colts of the BR league? Who will stop him? Time will tell...

    Re: Internet Fantasy Football

I like to compare my team to the high flying Flutie led '97 Toronto Argos. Even the great ones lose a couple during the regular season.

I enjoyed the 200 point week almost as much as I suffered through the loss to my freakin brother-in-law (Useless Knights) in week 10.

By the way, Geoff, I had never used Individual Def Players before this league. It's a nice change.

    Re: Internet Fantasy Football

The Yahoo fantasy sports sites had some problems yesterday as explained by this statement:

"Yahoo! Sports apologizes for any difficulty you have experienced accessing your fantasy team today. The technical issues have now been resolved. Please note that some recent transactions (i.e. lineup changes, roster moves and trades) may not have been recorded properly, so we recommend that you carefully review your teams to make sure they are up to date. Thank you for playing fantasy sports on Yahoo! Sports, and once again we apologize for any inconvenience."

I dropped/added a player and it didn't go through during the problem so everybody should check if you've made any moves these last few days.

    Re: Internet Fantasy Football

Thanks Geoff. Yes, that was a bad day for Yahoo. Glad they could recover in time for the season to go on!

I'm rooting for you the next couple of weeks. Good luck getting into the playoffs.

Brady and Branch should have huge games this week. Good luck. - Mark

    Re: Internet Fantasy Football

Thanks Mark! Having 4 players score 0.00 points and Brady's bad day didn't help my cause at all. More production from them might of helped me beat BIB. I'm confident I'll get into the playoffs, even if it'll be the last spot.

    Re: Internet Fantasy Football

Looks like my chances of getting the last playoff spot comes down to tonight with Keith Brookings on Derek's team and Aaron Brooks playing tonight on the Boatmen, such drama...

I just barely got in after beating Derek by 0.5 points, damn close...and now I get the Maine Argonauts in the first round, hahaha, joy o' joy...

    Nice Win, Commish!

This is anyone's game now. Some very hot, high scoring teams over the last few weeks.

I think you like the underdog role. I'm sure our match will be close...

    Bring on the Saturday games!!!

    Re: Internet Fantasy Football

You never know what could happen in the playoffs, that's the beauty of them! The Indy Colts are due for a loss, can the Pleasant Street Patriots upset the Maine Argonauts? My team mirrors the "real Patriots" in that when Brady plays great the rest falls into place.

Has anybody else seen the new Fantasy Profile when you login in to the site? It's interesting to see your ratings, overall performance and trophy case, damn my trophy from the BR baseball league this summer looks nice!
