Re: Internet Fantasy Football
Wow, that is cool.
I'll have to tidy up my trophy case to make a special spot on the top shelf...

Re: Internet Fantasy Football
Well, I got my big points from Brady yesterday (and what a dominating win against the Bucs at that!). I hope the rest of my team can get it done today. No lead is big enough when your facing the Maine Argos!

Re: Internet Fantasy Football
What a truly pathetic effort my team put out yesterday. I doubt I can get 13.5 points to tie Mark tonight with my two tight ends and hope that Donald Driver gets no points. If only I had put Bruschi in saturday. I'm kicking myself on that one. Ironically enough, he got 13.5 points...

Re: Internet Fantasy Football
Geoff,
I also made a few moves that didn't work out this week (nice day to drop Drew Bennet, eh?).
If it helps, I'm cheering against Driver tonight also. I'm up 20 points in an ESPN league (with some good $$$ on the line) and he has Driver and Longwell.
I guess I'll be up late again tonight!

Re: Internet Fantasy Football
Great comeback by Derek (the wildest I have seen) and a valiant effort from the Pleasant Street Pats.
As my Argos demonstrated this week, sometimes it all comes down to luck. At the last minute on Monday, I changed my last WR from Driver to Clayton. Nope, I didn't have a premonition that Clayton would take a direct snap and run it for a TD...I just didn't want to cheer for Driver as I had an opponent playing him in another league.
My margin of victory was this Clayton TD. Pure luck.
Tess Jets and Blue Alouettes both look almost unbeatable this week. It's my prediction that they meet in Week 17 in the Blue Rodeo Super Bowl. But...I might still have another trick or two up my sleeve.
Geoff, this had been a lot of fun so far. Thanks for all of your work on this and for the unique approach to rosters, etc.

Re: Internet Fantasy Football
That thud you heard was my jaw hitting the top of my desk this morning when I saw that the Blackswans lost. Unbelieveable. What an incredible comeback. Wow. In fact, many of the scores were in the 115 range which would have made almost any matchup a good one. Incredible. Like they say, "On any given Sunday..."

Re: Internet Fantasy Football
With the Jets-Patriots game having just ended, I count a 124.50-124.50 tie between myself and the Blue Alouettes.
However, that tie could be broken if they count David Barrett with a fumble right before halftime. The Patriots kicked off short into the wind, the ball bounced off Barrett and the Patriots recovered. Currently, NFL.com shows Barrett with a lost fumble for that play (rather than a muff)... if that's the official scoring, I would win 124.50-122.50.

A stunning victory by Three Lakes Thunder!!!
Congratulations. See you in the Super Bowl.
Week 17 should be very unpredictable.

Re: Internet Fantasy Football
Congrats Mark and Derek on reaching the finals! I'd like to keep track of the points scored next weekend, but I'll be busy doing some "scouting" for my team next year at Foxboro on sunday So it looks like I'm in the worst of the best game? 7th place, ugh...

Re: Internet Fantasy Football
It was a good game. Congrats on a great season.
Something tells me I'm going to need more than a freakish play on Monday Night Football to pull out the title though. Especially with my star RB Shaun Alexander likely to see some rest against the Packers.

Re: Internet Fantasy Football
It's been a wild and woolly playoff, that's for sure. We've got #1 vs #6. Good luck to you both. I'm chilling in what, the 5th place game? Yay! That Monday night fiasco is going to haunt me for a while, I think.

Re: Internet Fantasy Football
Look for at least one Alexander TD Derek. He needs one more to break the single reason record for TD's. Maybe I can talk to Bellichek sunday and ask him to leave Brady in for the entire game. It is the 7th place game I'm in!
