Just wanna know where those cool avitars come from...the dancing one, fiddle-player, etc. And how do I get my username posted instead of my regular name?

Truth is, this board is MUCH easier to get onto than YAHOO! I forgot my password and I tried to put in for a new one and I was told I wasn't giving the correct info. OY! What's the good of going on line when you spend most of your time trying to get connected? WHY must it be so convoluted? <WINSLOW LEACH>

This board has done nothing but Piss me off today!!!!

I come on go and do my "new since last" I read one flippin thread hit "Back" to look at the rest of the new posts and it says there is an error and it can't do that search. There is nothing more frustrating then trying to go back to the Disscussion main page and find everything since the last time you were on!! What the heck is going on?

I have also noticed over the last couple of weeks if you try to get on the board after 11pm pacific, your SOL.....Is that the time they are supposedly on fixing all these problem or is that when they are on screwing more things up???

Sorry for the bitching but this is just getting extremely frustrating, how long has all this been going on now???

Lately, I haven't really had a problem. It's been taking abit longer today but other than that, it's not too too bad. I have noticed what you're saying Karen but that only happened a couple times to me.---A couple times too many though

Hey - just to let y'all know, 11 PM - 12 AM PST is when we do our server backups, so things are generally slower at that time. The site should never be inaccessible though, so feel free to drop us a line if it's just not working. I checked out the New Since Last Visit feature and didn't see any problems - does that sort of thing happen often or just during backups?

That's happened to me a few times this week also but it happens right after I click on *new since last visit*. I've also noticed the board being really slow in the mornings.

Maybe Blue Rodeo should switch to a different message board server. This one sucks! It never did get fixed properly. It's been months. I've noticed one that seems to be quite popular... it's used at the Matt Mays website and at the monctonlocals website.

I have to say I agree with you Allison. Infopop responded to my complaints but in the end it has been close to three months since we have had reasonable service. New Sinces SUCKS. I miss posts all the time which never used to be a problem. 'Today's Active Topics' is non-existent. It has been driving me nuts. Karen was the one that alerted me to the 11:00 ish problem. Maybe they should update a little later than 11pm PST. Sorry for the rant but I am REALLY fed up.

I too have been having problems with the
New since you last posted!

Mostly in the evening, but at least 2 out of 3 times when I click the new since I get a message saying it is unavailable or an error message.

I am tired of complaing about something that seems is never going to get fixed!

I've been having this same problem too with the "New Since Last Visit" and it's been at all times of day. And when it does actually work, it's way behind. It doesn't refresh with the most current posts. If I go to the main board menu I find all kinds of recent posts that aren't showing up yet on NSLV. I wonder how much I'm missing but just don't have the time sometimes to check through everything and then some stuff gets buried. It is very frustrating!

Don't have long to chat. I'm on a public system and I'll be shut down in little over half an hour.
All is well but I've been so busy I haven't been on line much. I'm working on a promotional campaign for Phantom 2---hoping it will be HUGE as it's also the last of this event. SO, what's up?

Hey Infopop......

Is there any possible way that backups can be done later? Maybe like when ALL of CANADA is sleeping. 11pm PST is still early here.

I would really appreciate this too.

This didn't seem to have an impact on the board until all the other problems began in Jan/Feb. If you try to get on the board between 11:00 - 11:30 PM PST it is IMPOSSIBLE and very annoying. Perhaps the updates could be done at 1:00 or 1:30 AM PST - that way it would things would be back to normal by the time most people in Newfoundland were up and would allow the western people use the board until a reasonable hour. An awful lot of people are still up at 11:00 PM.

For the record the "New Since" is sporadic at best & 'Today's Active Topics' does not work. I miss posts all the time.

That's why I haven't heard that much from you Torri. Wondered why your posts were sparse. Now I know. Hopefully this will be fixed and things back to normal.
