what can you tell us about what prompted you to call Don at the Gas Station and just offer your services to Neko Case's album way back when?  you hadn't even heard her before that???

i was in toronto recording oh susanna's johnstown record and i think tim perlich, the music critic at now came up to me in a bar and said you should record with neko. i called and invited myself to a session. ron sexsmith was there and i had been a huge fan of his for years. plus travis and dallas good played on that record and years later when i moved here we became friends. i'm a big fan of all of neko's stuff, she's on a great journey.
