uhhh, i keep lots of books spanning years that i write ideas or lyrics or just one-liners in. its easy to go back and dredge something up. if i try to write for 2 hours and nothing comes i keep at it and something appears at 1hour 59 minutes. if not, i pick up another instrument that is tuned differently and that i don't know how to play and somethng usally comes out. maybe read some poetry. i also get away from writing for a month at a time. that way when i sit down the ideas just pur out - no block at all.
