The view count includes both the number of times you've looked at the post as well as the number of times the other person has looked at it. That's why it can seem unusually high.

No one else can see your PMs. There is no way that I or any of the mods or any other admin team members can go into your PM box and read your message.

The sign-in glitch did not have any impact on your privacy. You were logged in as yourself, meaning that you would only be able to see your PMs and any posts would appear under your name. The homepage was just not displaying your member name. At no point was anyone ever logged in as someone other then themselves.
