    Jim Cuddy and Kevin Parent...

Heard Jim's familiar and unmistakenly, voice the other day on the radio, singing back up vocals to a Kevin Parent song....apparently it was from Kevin's newly released and first ever English Cd called Fangless Wolf Facing Winter.  You can hear clips from it here...

Must pick up a copy...sounds good.

Re: Jim Cuddy and Kevin Parent...

I picked up the cd today but I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet.  According to the cd cover Jim sings on the first song which is Every Now & Then.  My new dream is Kevin Parent opening for the next Blue Rodeo tour or the Stanley Park shows.  Yes

I've listened to the first 4 tracks and it sounds great so far, mostly folk-rock.  Jim and Kevin sound very good together!  Smile The first single is the second track "Come With Me" which reminds me of Mark Knopfler.  Damhnait Doyle does some nice back vocals on this one.  I would love to see Kevin and BR on the same show again.  I saw BR opening for Kevin in Quebec City in the summer of 2000, if I remember correctly.  Anyway Torri, I hope your dream comes true.  I'm willing to bet that this is one dream that will come true! Big Smile Oh! and the third track "So Hard To Get" has got a Blackie and The Rodeo Kings vibe!

That's the concert that was on a TV special I think.  That is when I first saw Kevin doing the Leonard Cohen song with Blue Rodeo and he & Jim sang a song a French song.  I just kept thinking 'this guy should join the band".Wink  I loved them together.   I am thrilled that he put out a English cd.  I have one of his other's but it isn't the same for me when I don't know what the words mean.  I hope you're right about my latest dream coming true.

I am three songs in and really enjoying this cd.  Yes

A few years ago, I saw Blue Rodeo and Kevin together...

They did an awesome vrsion of Leonard Cohen"s "So Long Marrianne" Music

Real solid vocals and they looked like they were having the time of their lives!!

Torri!  Jen!  I've got some great news!  A co-worker told me this morning that she heard on the radio that Blue Rodeo and Kevin Parent will be working together - possibly doing concerts out West and in the Maritimes Cool.  It looks like our dream will come true!  Big Smile How cool is that, eh?
