This is Good news indeed!  Now lets hope that fall will bring some local Ontario shows!  Smile
I carry with me the memory of a field I once knew, of a night so full of stars that I was left humbled by it's endless beauty. I know that whatever the cost, life is worth living. So bring it on...I can take it.

    Hey Lovers and Brothers!

Thanks for the Sadies info - I knew about the release date, but wowie!, a title! Fantastic. Sounds brilliant. For all those of you Sadies fans I found a quirky bit of information I'm sure most of you already know - the boys released a 7" in French! It's too funny. I haven't heard it yet, but it's definitely on my wish-list. Neither of the boys are fluent in French... but they still managed to record to somewhat humorous/somewhat glorious (apparently) affect, "I Tried Not To (J'ai esaye de ne pas) from 1991's Pure Diamond Gold and The Last of the Good (Le dernier du bon) from 2001's Tremendous Efforts. Check 'er out over on the Mint Records website,

    see you soon.

    Oi! Also,

Heavy Trash has a new album coming out September 4. But if you really digg 'em you can stream the entire album (for free!) right now on Yep Roc's website. Here's the link, http://store.yeproc.com/album.php?id=12550

I can't wait for the Jarvis Cornfest with BR. I drove by the other day on my way to Port Dover and saw the giant sign... that was sort of um, falling apart... so old school, like going back in time. It's going to be a blast! Hope you are enjoying your Thursday morning..

6:45, eh? I knew the Sadies were playing at this event but couldn't find the time anywhere. Thanks! Smile You wouldn't happen to know of any other acts playing that day, would you? Apart from the Sadies, I know that Ashley MacIsaac is supposed to be there, as is an Ottawa-area group called the Reverb Syndicate, which plays some pretty awesome instrumental surf rock.

I was actually kinda hoping that Greg would stop by to see the boys play, but BR are at the Jarvis Corn Fest that day, and it's a six-hour drive between Ottawa and Jarvis...Sad Oh well, I'll just have to hope that if the Sadies do a tour, they ask Greg along with them and they come to Ottawa. Or I can hope for BR to come to Ottawa, too. Wink

cdawg, I knew it was a typo, just wanted to get you going Wink

Hmmmmmm would have been very sad if I missed 8 years of their music thoughSad

Can't wait for New Seasons so that I can hear what they've been working on. Really don't know how they do it though, they have NO time for themselves, between touring and recording, they must be BEAT

I think it would be great to see Greg with the Sadies again but I get the feeling that things will be very busy with the upcoming new albums - both Sadian and Blue Rodian.Smile

Re: THE SADIES new album "New Seasons" coming soon

This Be Very Good News Indeed!

Have been waiting for a new full length collection of new songs from The Sadies since "Favourite Colours". (The double live "In Concert Vol. 1" was pretty 'Good' (lol!) and I've filed "Tales of the Rat Fink" away (I still don't know about that one...). So this year's tremendous effort is New Seasons. Here's hoping they play some dates in the States! There will sure to be precious moments and stories often told galore from the upcoming tour and album release. On a reliable source, the mayors of the moon have fully endorsed the latest Sadies' tunes saying that they'll hit pay...er red dirt...maybe even pure diamond gold from 1999...LOL!

How's that for weaving all of the titles of all of the Sadies' records into one post...and I'm only on my 6th cup of coffee this morning. LOL!

    Thanks for the info!Cool
