Yes JAM, I try to get in about 7 cups of joe before noon on an average day...LOL! Not straight up, no not anymore as I've been doing the "HALF CAFF" thing for about 6 months now and it's really helped me slow down, I have fewer heart palpitations, that tremor in my right hand has almost stopped and I stay just as alert while at work....yawn.....
You should have seen me when I was doing 10 cups of fully caffeinated java a day back when I was in graduate school seven years ago. I was partying like it was 1999...wait a moment it was 1999, or 2000! Oh all I can remember was playing The Days in Between on continuous rotation while studying web design, database organization, and other cool stuff.
Not sure if you were on the Discussion Board back then, but I would think nothing of hopping into my car and driving all night to get to a city where the next Blue Rodeo show or Sadies show was. But then times got hard and the money ran out or was it the other way around...jeez I can't remember, I was so 'hepped up' on caffeine...it was all sort of a blur, not the group Blur but you know that vision thing where you can't see too well. Any way this all to real shaggy dog story has to end and the upshot is that I now work in a city that never sleeps and where they pour coffee just like fine champagne. (I think Elvis Costello sang something like that, oh yeah he sang about Coca Cola...which has way too much caffeine in it too).
Anyway, now that I am much calmer, and gasoline/petrol is more expensive, I just don't do those old road trips. I wait until a favourite band comes to NYC and sooner or later they all come through NYC. So see ya at the next NYC concert. And I'm sure hoping that The Sadies play NYC. They were pretty darned good the last time they were here.
Oh gotta go, coffee's perking again!
