new posts vs new since last visit

    Hi.

When I click "new posts" or "new since last visit" to get unread posts, I would like to filter out threads that pre-date my membership here. Is there a way to automate so it happens every time?

    Hi,

The new since last visit is designed to automatically update everytime you log in. The fact that it doesn't for you is strange. I suspect you've got some sort of cacheing problem. Try deleting your cookies and see what happens then.

One thing I notice about my page, is that when I log on, it says how many new posts, or how many new posts since last visit, well that's barely ever right. It may say 0 to both but I'll check anyways and there's something new since my last visit, so I don't know if it's just a glitch or what but it doesn't matter, cause I always check

Aaron, Friday night I wrote a long post detailing the problem. It contained the results of some careful testing. The board hiccupped and ate it. I was so disheartened and annoyed it's taken me until now to deal with it again. This board has eaten more posts than any other online venue I've ever frequented.

Anyways, I'll write again, as a PM. Something else weird and slightly disturbing just happened with the not read function. A new thing.
