U.S. Fans: Want to help out the band?

Blue Rodeo is looking for some fans to help them out on their upcoming U.S. tour.

This is a two-part gig, and here’s the deal: We’re looking for one person in each of the cities on the tour (except for NYC) to do some postering the week prior to the show to let people know that Blue Rodeo is coming to town and to work the merch table the night of the show.

In return, you’ll receive 10% of what the merch table brings in that night (with a minimum of $60), a pair of tickets to the show for you and a guest and a stylish Blue Rodeo T-shirt, not to mention the chance to meet other Blue Rodeo fans in your area and the gratitude of the band for helping out.

Interested? If so, please PM me with your name and which city/show you’re able to handle. If you’re selected, details will follow.

What an awesome opportunity!  I remember doing something similar to that a few years back when I was studying in Sherbrooke, Quebec.  I put up posters for their show in Burlington, Vermont and got free tickets to the show.  I even got to keep some of the posters... but this deal is even sweeter!

I'd dress up as Big Bird and carry a bill board around for a week if they would come to my neck of the woods...but unfortunately....Crying.

hey Aaron... what can ya tell me about the Phoenix show.. may 27th? I can't seem to find any information about it now, and went through some serious hoops to get the time to get down there... the rumoured venue is 175 miles away

Not much, I'm afraid: a Google search turns up that doors are at 7 and Luke Doucet is opening, but that's about it. What do you mean by rumoured venue? Have a look here.

    Hey Folks,

My wife and I just heard the band for the first time tonight on CMT.   How ironic it is that we are in a Holliday Inn in Calgary on the last night of our Banff vacation and by chance we see the band on TV.  We are from the Chattanooga TN area.   We really like the bands sound!!!!   I would love to help the band in any way I can if they come to my area of the world.   It's great to see a band that's about the music!

Welcome to the board Owen. You're in for a wonderful ride having just discovered Blue Rodeo.  I am not sure if they have played Chattanooga before but they certainly have played Nashville in the past.  I really hope you get a chance to catch a show some day.  Next time you plan a trip to Canada you should try to coordinate it with a show.  They are a lot easier to catch up here although seeing them in the US is wonderful because the venues tend to be very small.   I hope you had a great holiday in Banff.
