    automatic sign-out?

It used to be that if my computer crashed or another user shut it down, I would find myself automatically signed out from the site. Apparently no more. I came back this morning to find out I was still logged on from last night. That's twice now. Has something changed about the site?

I couldn't see that having anything to do with the site... It sounds more like a cookie thing to me. It happens to me often even if I've closed the browser... I'll come back to the site and still be logged in. I guess the best way to make sure you're logged off is to sign yourself out and delete your cookies and cache. Hope that helps. Smile

    Re: automatic sign-out?

Who knows what the cause is. After I wrote that post, I signed out, went to another computer that had crashed while BR.com was up. Asking it to restore my session (Firefox) got me back to BR.com, signed in.

Since I only access BR.com at one of my home computers, it's no big deal, if perplexing. Hotmail, for example, generally boots me out if my machine crashes.

However, anyone who accesses from a public machine, such as a library or work computer, might want to take extra care about signing out.
