    OT 24/7

It seems even the bucket got filled with sand!  So to stay off topic, I thought I would start this thread (with a little encouragement and prompting).

    Here is a fact, apparently:

A South American scientist from Argentina, after a lengthy study, has
discovered that people with insufficient brain and sexual activity read
their e-mail with their hand on the mouse. Don't bother taking it off now,
     it's too late.

So happy off topic to you.  Remember, if you reply the subject cannot be related to the previous post! (Like that will happen!)

I just woke up... took a shower... and am trying to decide what to do for breakfast.  I keep seeing the commercials for the new Bagel BELT at Tim Horton's... and I'm leaning towards this.  Although... waffles would be good too.  haha!

Why, oh why, does the Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson have to be on so darned LATE?  The host is hilarious (and I'm a sucker for a Scots accent), but I have to get up the next morning to go to work. ~sigh~

I must have been having a blond moment because I only just figured out now that the OT in the title of this thread stand for OFF TOPIC.  I thought it was OVER TIME.  hahaha!

    Re: OT 24/7

Speaking of "off-topic", I had the funniest conversation with a little two year old girl at work this past week - it went something like this:

    "My daddy plays hockey!"

"That's nice, do you ever go and watch daddy play hockey?"

    "Yeah...I like eating cheese!"

And as if that in itself wasn't funny enough, later on she ran around the corner of the playground, put both her arms up in the air and yelled "TOUCHDOWN!!!"

    Ahhh, the joys of children!

    Re: OT 24/7

On Friday, one of the students from the class next door to mine came in for a visit during her break.  This lady's first language is Chinese.  She watched as a student in my class wrote some sentences in cursive.  The Chinese lady then tried to explain what the writing looks like to Chinese people, but she couldn't find the right word.  She made circles around her tummy, but I had no idea what she was trying to say.  Finally, with the help of another Chinese lady in my class, she found the word she was looking for.

To Chinese people, western cursive script looks like INTESTINES. Tongue Tied

It was -22 C in Huntsville this morning.Surprise

There was ice fog rising off the river that runs through town and it was brilliant, sunny and windless.

I just watched Northanger Abbey on PBS. It was very good! Gotta love a story about a heroine who reads too many novels. Wink I must confess, though, that Jane Austen is about the only author that makes me openly act all girly about mushy relationship stuff, i.e., actually squealing at the screen or book when characters get engaged or married. Stick out tongue
