You know, just this once, I think I have to disagree. English Bay doesn't sound polka-ish to me. Although, I won't knock it 'till I've tried it! If someone would record a polka version , I would definitely give it a listen! ;)

LOL! Now here is topic that has me grinning from ear to ear! I love some of those choices ... very creative, people! And it may be the lack of sleep, but it took me 2 more sips of coffee before I could figure out what "dots" meant! LOL Ok ... I nominate "Cynthia"! Too Obvious?

Re: Slap Me Silly, it's the BR Polka Thread!
Are You Ready is another that I think is very polka-esque. If you took out the guitar riff that opens the song (and continues throughout) and replaced it with accordion music, I think it would fit right in. Just close your eyes and imagine it. lol

How about "I Could Never Be That Man" and "God and Country"? Replace the jangly guitar in "God and Country" with accordian.

Yeah, that would definitely work, esp. I Could Never Be That Man. :) You know, last night, I was half living in fear that one of their songs would be played to a polka beat. lol I would have LOVED it, but Heaven forbid they read some of the stuff we post on this site! :p

Re: Slap Me Silly, it's the BR Polka Thread!
I thinkg the guitra it "Your Everywhere" Sounds like more rocky guitar, and the bass is kind of Johnny Cash styal... I dont think its quite the right genre, but it may work

Geez, how could we forget about Blue House?!?! Practically nothing needs to be changed, it works just the way it is.

You're absolutely right, PuttPutz! Wish we could PM Bazil and ask him to accentuate a polka rythm with his bass. ;) Josh : I think it would work out really well -- you're right about the guitar and bass, but if Bazil were to play along... pun intended;)... it could totally be pulled off as polka. :D

Re: Slap Me Silly, it's the BR Polka Thread!
Thanks for the support Eniko :) I'm STILL looking for the Blue Movies quote/intro, but am discovering lots of other BR stuff, along the way. I've basically come to the conclusion I may never find it, but the search has been interesting nonetheless. Have a good day!

PuttPutz I will pop it into the VCR tonight just for you and tomorrow you shall find a thread containing Greg's eloquent (:p!!!) introduction to the videos on the Blue Movies tape.
