If I had a ribbon I would tie it on my finger to make sure I don't forget. (Does that work, anyway? Has that ever worked for anybody...?)

Anywhoo, I will be late in getting home tonight because I am going to the Poetry Face-Off, but as soon as I get in I will turn on the VCR and write a transcript of that intro. :D

While I'm at it, I will see if any of the songs featured in the videos are polka-worthy. I almost think that Love and Understanding might work, if we stay within the confines of the video, because it's all so tongue-in-cheek that a lively polka beat might accentuate the sarcasm. :p God! I love that video!

Love and understanding are the best answers I've heard yet.

Geez, how could we forget about Blue House?!?!  Practically nothing needs to be changed, it works just the way it is.

Oops, silly me! Embarrassed  I thought I read every post in this thread and didn't see Blue House anywhere.

Eniko - please don't stay up late to do this.  I've waited 'this long' (not very long really) - I can certainly wait until it is at least somewhat convenient for you (a risky statement, since the word 'never' is popping into my mind :)  On the other hand, sometimes it is quite nice to have an 'excuse' to watch BR ... not that one is really needed, at least not in my house!

Ok, long live the polka ....

Hey PuttPutz, rather than living vicariously through Eniko76, I could make a copy of the Blue Movies for you so you can see it for yourself!

lol Don't sweat it! :p You were right in your choice of song, and the fact that we both nominated Blue House just validates it that much more as far as polka potential is concerned. Besides, Great Minds Think Alike! ;)

Oh but I've never had anyone live vicariously through me! I was rather enjoying it! :p

I'm not selfish, though! Go ahead, share Blue Movies with PuttPuts. Just don't be so obvious about making copies of it here in the forum.;)

Too late, hun. I was up late anyway! (Went to the Poetry Face-Off, then out for dessert.) After I wrote the transcript, I added another stencil to my bathroom wall. I am moving at a snail's pace with that! I should have looked into some quick-drying paint... *sigh*

    LONG LIVE POLKA!

Re: Slap Me Silly, it's the BR Polka Thread!

OMG mthead!  If you would do that, that would be totally awesome!  I simply can't believe how nice people are on this site.  Quite amazing.  Just tell me what I need to do to make this happen, and I'll gladly do it.  I think my whole life I've been living vicariously ... this could be scary :)

Me thinks I am going to owe lots of favours.  I'm not very technically inclined, but I guess I'd better get up to speed, so I can start repaying all this kindness!
