I'm just glad that my "moment" didn't happen at a concert....phew.....cause it is embarrassing, that's for sure!

Mostly, I just had to say that I loved Al Kabong when I was a little girl. I once decided to sieze the moment and "thwacked" my brother in the back of the head with his guitar......oh how cute.

This embarrassing moment happened to Grant Lawrence at SXSW. From the cbc radio3 blog.

 

Unfortunately, my foot was violently assaulted (pictured) while watching the Golden Dogs. Whenever it's nice and hot, I tend to doff my sneakers for flip-flops, which proved to be somewhat of a liability when Canadian singer-songwriter Matt Barber air-bombed a full bottle of Lone Star on my foot, shattering the bottle and embedding shards of broken glass into my near-naked foot. I stumbled out of the venue a bloody mess, eventually forced to wash out the glass with the only available liquid: a tall-boy can of ice-cold RockStar Energy Drink.

As I washed myself on the curb, I couldn't help but overhear the bouncer leaning over to Blue Rodeo's Jim Cuddy and uttering "only a total idiot would wear flip-flops to SxSW". Both were wearing cowboy boots.

In a series of episodes, Quick Draw would also assume the identity of the masked vigilante "El Kabong" (a parody of El Zorro). As El Kabong, Quick Draw would attack his foes by swooping down on a rope with the onomatopoeiac war cry "KABOOOOOONG!", or, at times, "OLAYYYYEEEE!" and hitting them on the head with an acoustic guitar which is always referred to as a "kabonger", producing a distinctive kabong sound and usually destroying the guitar in the process
