BBQ season has officially begun here - cedar-plank salmon on the Q this evening for my significant other's birthday.

 
Just bought some grass seed on sale at Canadian Tire!! Woohoo!

Expected high of 16 degrees today and the sun is shining! Tomorrow: 20, and Friday: 21. Slight chance of rain on Friday, but how can you not love those temperatures? You can see the grass again!

Now the outdoor work begins --------that's a sure sign of GOOD weather lasting

Hurrah, it is such a nice day out there! Went grocery shopping and busted out the Chucks for the occasion. First time wearing them this year!! (I put them away for the winter because I didn't want them getting grungy with slush and road salt.) These are quite probably the coolest shoes ever, as demonstrated below:

I love butterflies, but have no idea what any of them are, except Monarchs...that's one cool thing about here, there are soooo many of them. I almost hate to have the weeds aka lawn cut...because it attracts them when its longer.

Well, some people might make fun of me (actually someone did, just this week! ) for knowing the names of birds & butterflies, but it's been an interest of mine since I ws a kid.

I think its great...I've been lucky enough to benefit from your knowledge and learn a thing or two!

I just saw a real pretty one out there while I was out for a smoke, it was a reddish orange with little black dots....smaller than a monarch. Very pretty....of course checking out one of my weeds, but what can I do...if I put in a lawn I have to water it, we aren't allowed to and the wells make me nervous...I think that's what causes sink holes, plus the water smells horrible...hey why mess with mother nature...I get butterflies and wasps this way.

Might be a Viceroy...they look a lot like Monarchs, but are smaller.

I'm really looking forward to my trip to NYC...I've been told that I might get to add a Pigeon to my Bird Life List!!   hehehe
