How sad!   I had no idea he lost his sight because of cancer.  What a terrible loss of someone way too young to die.  My thoughts are with his family & friends.

Ironically, Jim dedicated Try to Jeff at last night's show... did not realize he had been so sick recently.

    Sad day indeed.

I just heard about this on Newsnet...very sad, and so young too. Sad Very sad - Canada has lost a truly great musician. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I seem to remember hearing recently that he was supposed to be doing a show here, but it was being rescheduled because of his health. I was certainly not expecting him to pass on so suddenly, though. He is gone much too soon.

Very sad news. I've been seeing those Cancer commercials a lot lately where he mentions that he lost his sight as a child to cancer, but I had no idea he was battling it again.

We saw him a few years ago at the Sanderson Centre in Brantford when he was performing his Jazz music & enjoyed it very much.

Such a sad loss, for Canadian music, & for his wife & children.

Wow... that is really sad/shocking news.  I did not know that Jeff Healy had been sick lately.  He was a very gifted musician... I always loved his version of the Beatles song "While my guitar gently weeps".  I got to meet him a few years ago at the Rainbow in Ottawa... Very tragic news indeed.

So sorry to hear about Jeff Healy who really had a fine talent on the guitar and an excellent voice with beautiful timbre to match. He will be missed.
