    Belleville April 14, 2008

Quick post. Set list and quick review. Fantastic show! First half acoustic, second half electric. Jim was in perfect voice and they were having a great time. And as always, Jim was gracious enough to chat after the show. We are going back again tomorrow. More later...my hubby and I both have to work early in the am.

Hope you don't mind that I put your setlist in a vertical format Code Blue.  Thanks for posting.  I'm hoping they keep lots of the new album on the program for the Wednesday show in Peterborough.  Have fun tonight.Smile

    Re: Belleville April 14, 2008

I was just about to post the setlist, but you saved me the time of typing it in!

I agree, the show was excellent. I'll be going back tonight also! Please look for me! I'll be sitting on the right, row K, seat 23. I wish you had said hello last night! It's kinda lonely going to shows alone... until the music starts, at any rate... I talked to a nice lady sitting beside me a bit. I can't remember her name! That's bugging me. It started with an M... Anywhoo, say hi to me tonight! Did you not notice me in my snow-white yet rather stained Outskirts sweatshirt? (Tonight, I will be wearing the chocolate-coloured hoodie I bought last night! I am still debating wether to wear my brown cords, or striped brown pants...) I'll have my camera around my neck. ;)

I thought the show was just amazing! I had a perfect seat, third row, just right of centre. Great view! :D

Luke Doucet and the White Falcon blew me away - although I arrived late as the drive from Hull was a bit long. I bought Luke's new CD after the show. Hopefully will be able to get it signed tonight.

BR were superb! Very energetic and full of smiles. [Greg smiled at someone down front but IT WASN'T ME - I'm quite jealous! Oh, well, I hope he received something last night that made him smile... ;) ] Lots of funny banter also, from both Greg and Jim. :o)

I would have loved to have heard Love and Understanding or Up On That Cloud, but one of the highlights for me was Black Ribbon. Will attempt to upload it (video) if my comp cooperates and quits crashing. lol

I've posted pictures in the Photos forum. Have a look! :o)

That's it for now. I have lots of work to de before leaving early (hopeflly!) to get back to Belleville!

P.S. I tried to get a copy of Bazil's CD but they didn't have any. I think it was supposed to be for mthead(?) Will try again tonight, since I asked yesterday if they could conjur one up for me. ;)

P.P.S For those of you who are interested, Jim was wearing his jeans with the ripped back pocket.Greg wore his brown cords last night. They are quite stained! But still looked great. He looked comfy and at easy, at any rate. ;) And that is as far as I am venturing down THAT road...

Love and understanding are the best answers I've heard yet.

Well once again folks, too late for anything detailed. As for the setlist...exactly the same as last night..no changes at all. I will post some pics my wonderful hubby took when I have time. As always, his pics are amazing!

    Re: Belleville April 15, 2008

Went to the concert last night great seats (thanks Greg).  Got to hang out with some of the band after the show.  I met the band on the flight to Afghanistan last month, down to earth bunch of guys.

I never took my camera because the person at the box office told me when I called no cameras allowed.  I will be taking my camera to the May 8th show.

I really enjoyed the concert, first time seeing Blue Rodeo live, fantastic sound.  Jim made some funny comments and Glenn, was a bit late returning.

when Glen was playing drums for the opening act, I said to my friend, I hope he has a bigger drum kit for Blue Rodeo.  We returned to our seats after the intermission to see one little drum, then the curtain came down and the whole band was exposed, great idea.
