Josh, I think Ray was working on This Town, but I don't know if he got it done. The DB hasn't been working for him..I'll ask him next time we talk.

good news! a friend of mine is writing out sheet music for the piano for Five Days in May, he plays bass for me, but he's writing it out for someone else to play.  We plan to record a cover Big Smile

    NickTurchyn,

You could just buy the songbook from the bluerodeo.com store for the sheet music for 5 days in May.  I think it's easier that way.

Not to be a 'party pooper' or anything... But I've yet to find music books that have actually accurate information. Don't get me wrong though, I haven't looked at any Blue Rodeo music books, just wouldn't suggest depending on them. (they tend to try to 'simplify' the music which is annoying).

Well,  I use the books more for Chords anyways All the chords are on the spot.. I'll use a few on Piano like After The Rain of course! lol

Re: This Town and Pull Me Though for Piano...

Alright then I take it back, lol!  I know that Billy Talent puts double guitar tabs were there's only one guitar playing (to make it easier I'd assume) and Evanescence has the complete wrong tabs and no solos written out Tongue Tied... Maybe it's a modern day thing...? (revenge against the downloaders!!! Devil rofl)

Re: This Town and Pull Me Though for Piano...

I would say that the BR songbooks are really good... my reasoning is that I read somewhere that James Gray himself wrote them out.

But since he's no longer a member of the band, the latest albums haven't been done by him.

As for the the other tabs that you've seen that aren't close, they're often done by outsiders, and therefore the care and the accuracy is not necessarily what you would get from a member of the band, or someone who prides themselves on their accuracy.

And I simply don't have the time or patience (or compensation Wink) to do full piano notation for these songs.
