    Belated happy birthday wishes to the wonderful Ron Sexsmith who celebrated his 44th birthday yesterday!

    Ron will be playing at the Sanderson Centre in scenic Brantford on Saturday,January 19 for those who are interested.  It is being presented in conjunction with the Ford Plant and will hopefully raise funds to continue to support the FP.  Tickets are only $25 so get them while they're red - hot!  Big SmileSurpriseStick out tongue

    Hey Ann I have a question. I recently heard this single (can't remember the group) for a track entitled "Song No. 6". Did Ron sing on that? I swear it was him.

    Ron will be appearing at the Orpheum in Vancouver on Feb 12th before embarking on a tour of Australia during March.Smile

    Ron's May 3 Massey Hall show has been postponed till Oct 23 and his Belleville May 2 will be re-scheduled also.  Bit of a bummer since Ron plays the Toronto area so seldomly or so it seems.  Apparently it all has to do with the upcoming summer release of his new album Exit Strategy of the Soul and I suppose it does make better sense to have a big show like that after the release.

    On a happier note, his Apr. 30 show in Peterborough will go ahead and there are a few seats left (not many) so hop over to the Showplace website and snag your tickets before other Sexsmithsonians snap them up.

    I was disappointed...my hubby and I had tickets to see Ron in Belleville on May 2. I guess we'll have to wait unitl October now. Oh well...Oh, and on a funny note. My hubby went to HMV in Toronto in February and saw Ray Davies. Who was in the audience grooving away??? None other than Ron himself. He is obviously a big fan since my hubby saw Ron at Ray Davies' Massey Hall Show in 2006. Small world! Stacey

    Ron Sexsmith's label YepRoc (yep...that's right...the same beloved YepRoc of the one and only Sadies Yes), has released a sneak peak of the new album cover coming out July 8th entitled Exit Strategy of the Soul.  There is a link to the first single This is How I Know and you can also stream music from the new CD on the YepRoc webite.  Ron apparentyl added a little new something with a horn section on the single.  The whole album promises to be another excellent pic from  a very dependable source of great music.  Cheers!
