Keep it simple

Hey, don't knock the song.  I can't listen to it/them either however, a guy once serenaded me with this song, beneath my bedroom window.  He couldn't sing or play but he was a terrific guy. He continued until he finished all that he knew (quite a lot) of the song, snuck up for a kiss goodbye and then left to go home. It doesn't bring me to tears but those sucky songs can be memorable in the right context.

Getting back on track there are some songs that bring me to tears because of the emotions and memories that they bring up.  The first one that comes to mind is from a tape that I got from Texas some 15 years ago.  It's not anything that anyone would know here but I listen to it every once in a while and always has the same reaction.

There are also classic songs that NO matter where I am (upset, disappointed, angry etc...) I melt like butter but that's another thread....

I'm still trying to figure out how I know that song, that and "On Top of the World" there's a condo complex named that and everytime I drive by I start singing that song. I actually got lost in there the other day, it was pretty funny, all the streets had names of foreign countries and cities, one was even called Bagdhad.

But you know what they say about great minds, eh?

Enrique Iglesias' "Hero" makes me cry, because it reminds me of my late aunt; we danced to it at my cousin's (from a different aunt) bat mitzvah.

There are 4 songs that I know in the future will make me cry.  My mom has decided what kind of music that she would like at her funeral.  She isn't sick or anything but she wants her funeral to be a celebration of her life.  So when she comes across a song that she likes that will be, as she puts it "good funeral music" she tells me. 

1. If I Can Dream - Elvis Presley

4. Hallelujah - (I don't know who sings this one)

      Firstly, if I was seeing someone and everytime they came around Birds suddenly appeared,  it would spook the crap outta me (especially if they were Vultures) Secondly, if Birds do appear everytime they come around how many times a day would I have to wash my car? And if they really wanted to write a song about something being close to you , how come they didn't write about having a rash? That would be brilliance if they could pull that one off!
