I hadn't thought much of Lakehead's basketball program before (they played my alma mater, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, a few years back and UWEC beat them by about 40 points... they haven't played since), but there is more than just wins and losses, and this story is proof of it. I can think of few places more the polar opposite of Baltimore and Washington than Thunder Bay, but it sounds like that's exactly what these guys needed.
