This happened just last Wednesday.  Fortunately, neither Schwa-Guy nor I was at home, although of course Schwa-Cat was, and I was a little worried about him when I heard the news.

The Schwando building has been located on the corner of a fairly busy intersection in midtown Toronto for about five years.  Directly below our balcony is a large and very ugly gas main.  Or rather "was."  A vehicular accident removed said gas main.  Whoever took it out had to have been driving at a fair clip - not to mention well off the road.  Our building was without heat and hot water for several hours.

So I'd like to offer a sign to the really bad driver who scared the residents and made life inconvenient for us.  And I'd also like to offer a sign to the gas company for putting up the original monstrosity.  Schwa-Guy said it was only a matter of time before it was going to get hit.
