Re: Happy Birthday Brown Eyed Dog!!

Awww, thanks Marnie...how did I know you'd be the one to start this thread? Wink

Thank you all for your kind messages! As many of you know, the last year or so has been a rough one for me, as I have struggled through my depression but I am happy to say that I feel like I've been turning a corner of late, thankfully! My moods have been improving and alot of that is due to the changes in the weather and my own change in mindset/attitude. Plus keeping busy with lots and lots of supply work has also been helpful - although so far I haven't been booked for tomorrow, and my fingers are crossed that hopefully I can enjoy one morning sleep in! Well, here's hoping anyway!

Anyway, as part in my change in moods/attitudes, I've decided to make this year special by making an event out of it...the last few years I haven't felt much like celebrating, but this year I figured this would also be a good way to lift my spirits. Plus I'm past 30 and now I begin my descent on the slippery slope towards 40, so I figured I should enjoy it while I can! So, tonight my folks took me out for dinner and a movie - we went and saw "Baby Mama" with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler...very funny movie indeed! (Steve Martin is absolutely laugh out loud hilarious as well!). Tomorrow night, as you know, I'm going to see Crowded House - my own birthday present to myself, as I've never seen Crowded House before and getting a chance to see them in an intimate setting like Danforth Music Hall was just too good to pass up! Friday night I'm getting together with some friends of mine for a few drinks, and then Saturday my brother, sister in law, and nephew are coming up from St Catharines and we're all going out for dinner Saturday night for a sort of late birthday/early Mother's Day dinner! Looking forward to it!

So anyways...what did I get for my b-day? Well, I got a couple of shirts, a book - the 8th book in a series I'm reading called "Confessions of Georgia Nicolson", which is sorta like a teenaged Bridget Jones, which I discovered quite accidently and have enjoyed the full series immensly. The first book in the series is being adapted to film, which I look forward to seeing! Anyway, back to what I was talking about...shirts, a book, and a new planner/calendar for me to better keep track of all my scheduled work dates and other such social events in my life! Smile Something I've needed for sure (a calendar as well as social events in my life, that is!)

Anyway, thanks again guys - it's been a good one! Smile
