A phone call from on the road!!!

I just had the best phone call I've had in a long, long time!!!! Our girl Lori aka Bluegirl just phoned from the show in Montreal and I was able to listen to our favourite guys singing Montreal!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so clear I just had to close my eyes and listen to them sing and it was the next best thing to being there!!!!!

I'm hoping that this counts as a tale from the road!!! It was like being there and I never had to leave the house!!! Thanks for that huge pick me upper, it sure put a smile on my face!!!

I was just about to start a similar thread when I read yours Cathy.  Very cool that you got to enjoy Montreal.  I too was lucky enough to get a call from our Ms. Bluegirl.  Unfortunately I couldn't hear very well but I did hear enough to know it was Mr. Keelor singing but I couldn't make out the song.  Thanks Lori - you put a big smile on my face.  Hope you're having a tonne of fun.

Greg Keelor met Jim Cuddy and then I met you people. Serendipity is a marvellous thing.

Re: A phone call from on the road!!!

Just a quick post for now because I have two eyes in the same hole.

I would have called all of my BR buds, but unfortunately I only have a few numbers saved in my cell phone! It was so funny because at one point, Diane said "Who are you calling now???" LOL! I love calling other Crazies from the shows because it makes me feel like they're there with me for at least a few minutes!

This next part probably belongs in the review section, but I'm too lazy to start a new thread right now. We got to hear 2 brand new songs tonight! One is called "Blue House" and the other one is "Come On". They're both awesome!!

Oh yeah... and Greg was in an awesome mood tonight! He kept looking down and smiling at us! Maybe he was just happy to see us on his side of the stage for once! Ha! Ha!

Nite nite folks! Will write more tomorrow...

Thanks for the calls Lori.  It was the perfect pick me up.  I was laying in bed sick when you called.  I couldn't hear that well but I think one song was Rain Down and then my second call back was "Come on"(which I shared with Hazy cause I was talking to her when my cell phone rang) how come that song sounded familiar to me??

Re: A phone call from on the road!!!

That's so nice to get a phone call like that!  It certainly is one of the best 'tales from the road' that I've seen.  New songs too!  I guess you all were the first paying audience to hear them.

Funny but at the ArtPark show I thought Greg played a little different intro on Bad Timing and I wondered if he was plaiyng a piece of something new.  Who knows.   I guess the new stuff will be making appearances from now on. (I'm still waking up)  Looking forward to hearing it and reading your review Lori!Smile

Too cool, I am jealous of those who received the calls and more jealous of Lori and Diane for actually being there...LOL...but what I am excited about is new songs. Anyone know how close a new album may be....oooooh I can't wait.

I am reallly excited about the new songs too. Lori's call jump started my excitement for the new album and for the Vancouver shows. I can't wait.

Hey Dizzy! Diane posted a review earlier, but "Blue House" is a Keelor song (very "Cynthia" sounding) and "Come On" is a Jim song. I loved both of them and "Come On" had me bopping just like I do to "Head Over Heels". Greg did say that they're songs from the new album, but didn't say when it would be released. If these two songs are any indication as to how the rest of the CD will sound, it's gonna be a great one!! Yes
