    Ticket Packages

    Hello,

We're hoping to start pre-selling tickets for the 2008 Small Miracles tour in the next few weeks and we're thinking about maybe putting together some kind of ticket package for some of the dates. But before we do that we want to know what all of you would like to see in a ticket package. Here are a few ideas that have come up:

    - early access to venue
    - access to soundcheck
    - current tour t-shirt
    - some other kind of merch item(s)
    - autographed album

Please let us know your thoughts on those ideas and feel free to suggest other ones.

    Thanks!

    Lindsay

    Re: Ticket Packages

That's weird I just posted in the tour thread asking if there was any word on presales, feel free to ignore that question since you've already answered it here.  I think it would be cool to see a soundcheck.

It all sounds like fun to me. Yes  I think that price will determine the response on this one.

I'd forgo the sound check for a post-show picture taking/autograph session in front of the stage. Doesn't have to be back stage

I'd love to do sound check!!  But pricing would be the deciding factor for me too.

    I liked these options:

    - access to soundcheck
    - current tour t-shirt
It's alright now.....people get through this somehow....

    Re: Ticket Packages

Sounds like a plan....Especially if there was preferred seating to go or at least a place to stand and dance. The big issue as above is price.  It has to be reasonable.

The best idea is the post-show picture taking/autograph session though as that is a real treat for those of us who dont get the chance that many here do.

Maybe combine everything and I'm sure you will sell them regardless (unless it's a million dollars).

Or if you want my glowing lip gloss in return.

     Sincerely,

    Re: Ticket Packages

Great thread Lindsay! Yes I'd like to offer a few thoughts/suggestions.

The only time I'd want early access to a venue is if the show was going to be GA. Maybe that's something you could consider offering for the "general admission" shows only and have some sort of special markings to identify the pre-sale tickets so that people don't try to take advantage.

I've never really been interested in going to soundchecks, but I'm sure that would definitely appeal to a lot of people! I'm not sure about the guys coming out to sign autographs after the show. Yes, it would be awesome, but if we're talking about perks that are meant ONLY for people buying ticket packages, then this idea won't work. Every Tom, *** and Harry (and a few ladies too, I'm sure! LOL!) will be milling around waiting to meet the guys, so there's no real advantage to paying extra for a "package".  That's just my take on it...

    I do have one idea.

What about a contest for each venue? I was thinking that the people who purchase their tickets during a pre-sale could be entered to win a chance to go backstage after the show for a short meet and greet/photos/autographs and perhaps a t-shirt or some other kind of official band merchandise. There could even be more than one winner per venue... Maybe even up to 5 winners per venue and the winners would be chosen randomly. I think it would help to generate ticket sales and get things hopping on the board again!

    Just a suggestion!! Smile

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! The board software edited out D-I-C-K where I wrote Tom, *** and Harry!

Access to the sound check sounds really neat - and that might be an opportunity for people to get autographs and photos with the band members... since it would be a smaller amount of people than at the real concert.  Does that make sense?

Tour t-shirt is an awesome idea as well!  As everyone said though, it all depends on the price.  Hopefully it wouldn't be much more than the regular price...

Speaking of pre-sales...did anyone ever find out who one the autographed booklets for the Small Miracles presale?

The only thing I don't like about that is most of the sound checks take place in the afternoon and with some of the shows being on work days, it could be a real pain.
