    17 years of Blue Rodeo

It all started out with a cassette tape from my mom. Remember those nasty things? Anyways, I can't even remember which album it was, shame on me. I played it, and played it...eventually I had to replace it with a CD and by then had a few other albums as well. First time I saw BR live, it was at some country music fest. I had a t-shirt signed!!! with all the band members. I was thrilled either way. Somewhere in the long years since then, I lost the signed shirt!!! I'm devastated about it still. I have, however, managed to get my hands on two more Blue Rodeo Shirts, but, unfortunately, neither are signed. *sigh* My other two Live shows were the Benson Mountain Fundraiser in Naniamo and the recent show in Victoria at the Save On More Center. The best part about the Benson Mountain show was that it was the first time my boyfriend saw them live, and he loved em! So I had no problem convincing him to get us tickets for the Victoria show. It was my birthday present anyways. Guess how old I am???

Anyways-I love the new album, but Five Days in May has a special spot in my heart.

    Hi bluehorse,

Too bad about your t-shirt disappearing. I can sympathise. I have yet to find my Northern Pikes Kiss Me You Fool t-shirt. :o(  But at least mine wasn't signed...

The good thing about having t-shirts that aren't signed is that you can actually wear them. I am wearing my 20-year-old Outskirts sweatshirt to the Ottawa show in February. I don't think I would get it signed because then I would be afraid to wash it.

As for how old you are... I'm no detective. I'll take a wild guess and say, 28?

Love and understanding are the best answers I've heard yet.

    So close! I'm 30 tomorrow.

I got a small miracles longsleeve t-shirt at the last concert and a cute white tee at the Benson mountain concert-I'm afraid I'll wear them both out-I wear em all the time...

Happy Birthday in a few hours bluehorse.  Glad to hear you got replacement t-shirts & congrats on making your boyfriend a fan.

Greg Keelor met Jim Cuddy and then I met you people. Serendipity is a marvellous thing.

Maybe we were separated at birth, bluehorse24 - I too am 30 years old (going on 31!) and have been listening to Blue Rodeo for just about the same length of time as you! Go figure! Wink Welcome aboard!
