I saw that last week and asked myself the very same question! The closest I came to that was my "Cuddy Love" moment backstage in Stratford back in '05! Actually, I think you were there for that, Dar!! Smile

    Re: Jim & friends?

I wondered the same thing Dar.  Does Jim wander the streets looking for fans to sing with?  Who was he with?  Where was this taking place?

Lori, I would like to hear what Jim had to say about your 'Cuddy Love' T!

I carry with me the memory of a field I once knew, of a night so full of stars that I was left humbled by it's endless beauty. I know that whatever the cost, life is worth living. So bring it on...I can take it.

The little blurb on youTube said Crescent Street. If that's Montreal, it's a little street full of restaurants and bars right near Concordia University in downtown Montreal. You can often see famous people dining out there. Looked about right in the clip.

I'd like to hear the Cuddy love story too. (Please, I'm editing statistics today. Help.)

That's pretty neat that Jim would do thatYes Just wondering if he met them on the street as he was walking, or they're friends of his, but either way, it looks like they were all having fun, and that's all that mattersBig Smile  I can see him doing that tooYes  Seems like a real fun guyBig Smile

    Re: Jim & friends?

Well, a bunch of us were backstage in Stratford one year... Jim was about 15 feet away from me and when he saw my "Cuddy Love" shirt, he started walking toward us, singing "And they called it Cuddy lovvvvvvvvve!" LOL! One of his sons happened to be standing there with Glenn and apparently wasn't familiar with the tune, so Glenn was trying to explain to him that "Puppy Love" was an old song by "Donny Osmond", but the kid just wasn't getting it! LOL! Jim's daughter, Emma was there as well and I think it was Jane (Bluebird) who overheard her asking Jim afterwards "Who was that lady?!" HAHAHAHAHA!

Cuddy love, puppy love, hence Cuddy puppy? Big Smile

I don't think the younger generation knows what puppy love is, let alone has heard the old Donny Osmond song. Jim's kids probably thought it was a song about dogs, how strange.

Rofl! That's great, lol, one of the things I've always liked about Blue Rodeo is their sense of humour and personalities. Always entertaining Yes

    Re: Jim & friends?

Actually Lori, if I remember correctly, Jim sounded more like the Paul Anka version of "Puppy Love" than the Donny Osmond version.  That was indeed a funny moment - just like this video on Crescent Street.  Cool! Yes

    Re: Jim & friends?

Don't know who the lucky people were in the video with Jim but it was indeed filmed on Crescent Street in Montreal. Back in my younger days, I used to hang out at the Sir Winston Churchill Pub, a landmark on Crescent Street. It's far more upscale now than it used to be. Anyway... that video was shot on the left hand side of Crescent, walking down towards Ste-Catherine Street! Cool
